I know you've felt like He's told you not to express some things to DH, but I seem to remember Him expressing some anger of His own while here with us. The money changers at the temple is one example. So what I'm trying to say is that some things need to be brought out in the open. Maybe not all in your case, but perhaps this?

Maggie I know about hididg under those rocks! I do it all too often. Sometimes just so you can have a second to breathe it is ok. But don't stay there too long. The longer you stay the harder it is to get back out. Remember we had a talk about that before. Sometimes the dark under that rock or hole becomes comfortable. Remember I as well as many other people are there for you and praying for you!

Sheesh, Dee Dee! You have me crying! You're right of course.

Thanks for the hugs, Diane, Dena, and Lynnie! Hi Jackie!

Ben, I think this is one of those times to keep quiet. I'm all too ready to express my anger at dh but this time it really is a time to keep my mouth shut (though I am totally unable to hide my body language and facial expressions which shout loud and clear what's happening inside). What dh said wouldn't likely be offensive to anyone but me. We're in different places spiritually and because of our lack of communication and different churches, we're not on the same page theologically in some areas either. He seems to find the devil in any negative situation and that really irks me. Some stuff is simply because of our fallen nature and some might even be from God. And he and I certainly need no help from the devil to get irritated with each other. We do it quite nicely on our own. His comments to me were that if we have the church meet in our home, the enemy will likely attack us, causing us to fight more than we usually do. On the surface that seems to be spiritually and theologically logical. But the way he said it really grated on me and my first reaction was to say, I don't want my church coming anywhere near you. That's not such a godly attitude, is it? And it certainly isn't a godly reason to let my anger blaze. I need to pray about my reaction and his response.

I am doing some better. I've been doing some blog crawling and have found some really cool blogs by Christian women. That has encouraged me and cheered me. One woman who doesn't name her family members calls her husband THGGM (The Husband God Gave Me). I think that's cool! Her husband has just been demoted in his job and one of her posts was singing his praises. Isn't that an awesome attitude? And from all she wrote, she's got an awesome man. She's about my age with three adult children. I think I can learn something from her attitude so I'm subscribing to her blog. Another blog entry I read had me rolling on the floor with laughter and Mo and Shaunii would have really appreciated the comment made about the traffic jam through Indiana (referring to the interstate that connects Michigan to Chicago). I've BEEN in that traffic jam and its horrendous!

Oh! And when the freezing wore off on my back, it hurt for a bit and then went away. It hasn't been bad at all, for which I'm grateful. Now, can I remember this for next time?

Maggie I love that "THGGM" I might start using that!

I didn' mean to make you cry, I'm sorry.

Maggie not knowing where the two of you are coming form I agree that your dh's coment was logical. Anytime you or anyone for that matter wants to do something for the Lord Satan will try to attack and tear it down. That is just his way. And with the reaction you had to it don't let Satan have his victory there either. Ya know what I mean? I am the queen of letting my dh's actions and words control my actions and emotions so I konw what I am talking about sometimes.

But then we might start refering to him as Thuggem.

Might be appropriate in some cases....

I cried, Dee Dee, because I felt understood and loved, so it was a good thing. I'm just all emotional. I don't get it. And yeah, I'm not letting THGGM's words or my reaction dictate what I'll do. That's why I'm just sitting on all this and letting God sort through it for me before deciding what to do. Church is cancelled for this week and the pastor's wife is out of the country right now anyway so the time isn't right to offer our home even if I decide to do that. So there's time to think, pray and wait.

Oh, that is TOO funny! LOL! Yep, VERY appropriate some times, even if God DID give him to me.

Ben, you nut LOL!

(((Maggie))) Just catching up again and felt bad that you have felt bad and sad and in turmoil. I'm saying an extra prayer for a peaceful refreshing sleep for you tonight.

Good posts Dee Dee. I know you really can relate to the feeling separate from hubby, and the feelings of hiding.

To be honest, sometimes I feel that way too and I realize that I feel that way most often (the hiding) because of taking on too much. Maggie, I am praying for you about the decision to have the church in your home. Are you sure you're ready to take that weekly commitment on? Have you talked to some of the others from the church yet about what they intend to do with the folding of the church? Maybe you could use this time to continue to explore yet.

Sharon, I'm not making any decisions yet. I'm just exploring options in my mind and praying about them but I know there's no point even thinking about having church in my home if TMGGM doesn't want that weekly intrusion. I may never offer. I don't know. I have to wait and see. Thanks for the hug and the prayer.

We're talking about the interstate going through Gary from Chicago to Michigan. The traffic is backed up so badly there the traffic jams can be hours long.

Oh ok! I haven't made it that far north yet. I stay in the Indianapolis area and the small surrounding areas. If I go much farther I am lost for sure!

Maggie,
I just want to say I'm sorry for tearing the tulips from your garden last night. We were so giddy at Mike's that I just ran out and picked the tulips closest to his house. I trying to plant these right in the same holes.

First impressions are crazy when they occur at midnight!

Have a great day in the Lord today.

Maggie Lori and I were being pretty silly in Mike's thread last night and we needed some tulips to tip toe through all through the place and Lori borrowed yours and Pams. :) It's pretty nice of her to replace them though.

Thanks, Dee Dee. I've been catching up in threads and finally figured some of that out. My brain is pretty foggy first thing in the morning.

I'm also feeling really weird. I lay in bed trying to figure it out and all I could come up with was fear. I think I live with a lot of fear but what am I afraid of? I don't know.
