I dare someone to start a new thread in the parenting folder:

PARENT SUPPORT THREAD

This is a thread to support parenting.

None of these parents are allowed to post:

parents who breastfeed
parents who bottle feed
parents who don't potty train
parents who potty train
parents who sleep in separate beds
parents who sleep in same beds
parents who sleep in separate houses
parents who cry it out
parents who control their crying
parents who never cry at all

Maybe I'll start it, since I'm NOT a parent. (unless you count Smokey as my "baby", which he is)

Thanks for keeping things moving in my absence.

Very sorry for your brother's family cranky. Sounds like his end was similar to my poor father's last days.

I'm glad that Mona and others feely comfy here.

I have been bottle feeding - a new low cal drink called Fuze.

The last few days have been very hectic, way too much work to do. I left for court in another county before 7:00 a.m. and got home about 10:00 p.m., after a couple of tense evening meetings of city council. Tomorrow doesn't look any better.

To top it off, Mrs. K and I are leaving on our first vacation in two years on Sunday. Will post when I can.

You are going to need that vacation. Be sure and let me know if you are ever trying a case in Sevier county. I would love to come watch.

I have an interesting assignment to challenge your minds and talents while I am busy slaving away.

Your task is to tell a story or memoir in six words.

This idea is inspired by a 2007 book called Not Quite What I Was Planning: Six word Memoirs by Writers Famous and Obscure

Forgive me if this has been done here before, but I don't remember seeing it.

Example story: "For sale: baby shoes, never worn." ~ Ernest Hemingway

Example Memoir: "Couldn't cope so I wrote songs." ~ Aimee Mann

Confining me to 6 words is going to be quite a challenge for me, Counsellor. I'll need to give this some thought.

As with me. Being a preacher, you know I have a LOT to share.

Perfect way to begin, James!!!! This is fun! Like haiku...only not. I think I see what you're doing, Kerr and I can say it in a six word story.

"Keep 'em busy...out of trouble"

but do you REALLY think that'll work?

So here goes:

Memoir: "God's unforeseen plan, what a ride!!!" (compound words just count as one, right?)

Thank you Lynn and Melissa.

YAY for the Kerrlaw's upcoming vacation!

Kerrlaw, your new assignment is a blast. I've written a bunch of them while sitting here, but not sure I can write one for me. It's more fun to write them for others. Can I post as many as I like?

Told north, went south; more fun.

Hey! Here's one: Janis is good even by accident!
