I admire this in you, Ginny. Most people don't take that attitude but I agree with you. God does put us in difficult and painful situations for reasons that are often impossible to know why and yet, when we make right choices and take the right attitude as you are, the trials grow us. It's still really, really painful. {{{{{{{{{{Ginny}}}}}}}}}}

I hate shopping for clothes too. And getting up early on a Saturday to go to garage sales is something I'm just not motivated to do.

Momma Mo, I think not having to be in the hospital is a wonderful bright side--unless being home means you can't rest as much as you need.

Ds2 and I finished packing ds3's apartment. We emptied his fridge and then went to buy groceries. Silly move. The fridge isn't big enough. It took a lot of creative packing to get everything in. But now we have three bottles of ketchup, three lemon juice, three or four mustard bottles, two or three mayo and so on--all in the fridge. Crazy. Plus I didn't realize we had a lot of tomatoes so I bought a lot of tomatoes (they were the best price I've seen in over a year). Sigh.

Now I have to start packing stuff in our house to make room for him. Right now all his boxes of stuff are lining the walls of the dining room, 3-5 high, and there are more to come--plus his furniture. I don't know HOW we're going to do this. It's completely insane. But at least I got ds3 to agree that he might have to use the small bedroom upstairs for a while even if the doctor says he can go into the basement, if I'm not able to get everything here packed up in time. That eases the stress.

Maggie, hope things settle down for you.

Had a pretty good night. No incidents. Tomorrow I'm supposed to take my kids to the doctor. They are all still sick and nothing is going away. Only one ever got put on antibiotics...nobody got chest x-rays....I believe that they should all be checked for pneumonia! The problem is that tomorrow we are supposed to be hit with a wind and rain storm...and I have pneumonia. Frustrating.

Looks like we'll have to process some tomatos today. My daughter is going to make more cookies and some chili sauce. (Not to be consumed together! ) I've got a bit more ambition today and got a bit of cleaning done.

Last night I stayed up way too late loading new products into my e-Bay store. Today I'll do the same thing. It's my goal to have between 200-300 items available for Christmas. I had to re-arrange my bookcase because I was running out of space for products. (My livingroom is beginning to look like a warehouse!) I need a storefront. But, can't afford that now.

I'm going to venture out later to send a package. I'm not looking forward to it. May buy some groceries too. (I'll send my daughter in and stay in the van.)

Hope everyone is doing great!

Don't know if you would admire me if you knew my thoughts right now.

I'm ANGRY!!

My two bosses gossiped for hours today and were loud. Both gossip about each other behind the other's back when they are with other people; today they were having fun joining together to gossip.

Ugh! I hate that! I'd be angry too!!!

I may take Emily to my pulminary doc tomorrow. She's taken a turn for the worse and doesn't want anything to do with the ER because of the many misdiagnosed visits there. I think my doc is the best choice.

Then, at some point I will have to deal with the other two. (And I'm sick.)

Hope everyone gets a good night's sleep! God bless you ladies!

I can't remember posting in here today . . . it was a busy morning what with gym and then cleaning the church, then going to breakfast with my friend. I rested this afternoon until I got interrupted with company. After she left, I took a short, short nap then baked some cookies for the boys -- Garrett wasn't here today, but a friend of Eddie's came home with him.

Momma-Mo, wanted to let you know I did get my package today . . well, it actually could have been here a couple of days. The mailman set it where I didn't notice right away. Anyway, really like the books! Can't wait to read them with Garrett. The puzzle thing is really cute, too, but I'll save it for him for a while. I'm going to go shortly and check out the new things you've uploaded, and do the feedback thing.

It's good to hear you're feeling a little better . . I agree with you about Emily & the ER . . . I hope your doctor can give something that helps quickly. How is your mom?

{{{{{{{{{Ginny}}}}}}}}} I know things are rough for you right now. Please know I'm praying.

Maggie's not been around all day . . please continue to pray for her & her family.

Leah, thanks for the reminder to pray for Maggie.

Momma-mo, thanks for the link! I hope everyone is feeling well there soon.

Another beautiful fall day here. So nice. I found some of N's old shorts in the basement yesterday. I was so glad. R will only wear a few things. She doesn't usually like denim pants. She wants soft stuff. He had some nice soft shorts in plain colors that will look OK with some of her shirts. I didn't want to wish for cooler weather so I'd have clothes for her for the last bit of warm weather here.

I had my mammogram today. I was so glad that was done, then she said that sometimes they call for more tests since they don't have anything to compare this one too. So now I'll have to try to not worry if they want more pics.

Sorry for worrying you, Linda. I slept all day--probably a combination of physical and emotional exhaustion. I got up at 5:00, read in the bath for about half an hour (to adjust to being awake) and then dashed off to see ds3 briefly and then to small group. Small group was really small--just two of us--but it was awesome. We spend our time praying--not always outloud. This church is the prayingest church I've ever encountered. What a blessing! And thank you all for your prayers. I gave an update in my thread.

I don't blame you for being angry, Ginny. What your bosses were doing is wrong--just as wrong as murder or promiscuity. You were righteously angry.

Momma Mo, I'm sorry you all are so sick. That's hard.

MORNING ladies!!
Yea....I sometimes come in here & just read what is going on....
I am feeling a bit like momma-mo & the virus's you have been battleing....I have something going on....trying to pull me down this week, I should just go to bed & sleep for a couple days! I get pretty stubborn & try real hard to fight it off tho.

Yea....3 of my 4 children getting married within 8 months now!! The sad thing is the girls are not liking each other lately.
See....Lindsay's finanace came home from leave at Christmas last year & proposed to her....they set their wedding for July 6, 2009 & then he left for 9 months in Iraq. Lindsay spent that time preparing for her wedding to keep her mind off him being gone. Well, seems her sister Stephanie's fiance Tom finished his student teaching, & decided that he wanted to marry Stephanie then. So working on his new Teacher schedule, they went & booked their wedding on June 6, 2009. I'm pretty sure they did that without thinking about anybody's feelings except their own! When Tom (Stephanie's finance) asked hubby & I for our permission, the FIRST thing I asked him was "Please wait till AFTER Lindsay & Peter's wedding"!!! He said yes....yea, right!!

So now we have drama with the girls! And I am not liking it at all! I have went & started to soflty encourage them both to just go get married.....NOW!! I even offerd them honeymoons when we all go to Mexico for Nathan's wedding in Oct. Maybe....just Maybe the one with a few more brains....Lindsay....will take us up on that!

Good Friday Morning Everyone

Sent up a prayer for everyone dealing with sickness or family problems. Hope it helps.

It's a lovely 70 degrees outside and the sun is trying to peak out. Suppose to reach 80 degrees today.

I have a houseful of kids today. My two darling grandsons, and my two great neices, along with a three year old little boy. Isabelle will fill the "happy crew" at 11AM.
Funny thing is my grandkids are the ones who keep me running all day.
My grandsons have colds and ear infections so I had to give them both their meds this morning. Ethan does'ent take it so well.
Hopefully my dear daughter-in-law will be here by 1PM like I always request. She always has an excuse to arrive late tho.

Pam, GREAT to see you pop in once in awhile

I went to our local flower nursery last night. Bought two mum plants and found out she had cubes so I can make pickles this year. I was looking all over for some. So I guess I will be canning pickles this week-end.
The flowers were for mom. Today she is gone 6 months..so me and Pam wanted to place something up at the cementary. I brought them up at 6:30PM last night. Guess what I seen running around by her grave? Two deer. Oh they were so pretty! Put a smile on my face

Good morning! It's a rainy, windy day in New England. Still waiting to hear from the pulmonary doctor. I hope she can be checked out before the weekend. Then if she's sick....if no appointment today...she ends up in the ER getting misdiagnosed yet again....

The weather seems to be bugging the pneumonia, but, I did make breakfast for all and it was nice to be back in the kitchen. I loaded my eggs with garlic, red potato, sweet potato, onion, and green and red tomatoes. That was yummy and healthy.

I'm deeply frustrated wanting to get my products into a store. I'd still keep the on-line business going too. I think my kids would be blessed to have a family business. They are already showing signs of being business minded.

Oh great, now my second daughter is coughing a deep cough. One kid at a time.....(sigh).

Wow, all of those weddings! A blessing and a busier than ever few months! You are going to be tired! God bless you in this. Congratulations on all of those new family members. Christmas should be interesting this year.

Hope everyone is well today and to anyone feeling sick..I'll pray for you. I'll check back later with report as to how Emily is. Have a blessed day!

Hey everyone! . . . Pam, good to see you in here . . I sure hope one of your daughters takes you up on your offer. Sheesh! I can't even imagine the stress!!

Momma-mo, I really was hoping to hear things were going better there -- not that another one was tryign to get sick

Barb, sounds like you had your hands full. I would have had such an easy day -- no kids -- except that I had to go & do something silly to my ankle and woudn up at the chiropractor's this afternoon. So I've been ordered off my feet, and have to keep it elevated with an icepack on it. I've been sitting there for a couple of hours but had to get up and stretch. Don't know what's wrong, but it is terribly swollen. He said to come back Monday for an ultrasound to rule out a blood clot or something like that. Don't really think it's that, tho. All I really know is that it has been excruciatingly painful . . first I couldn't bear weight on it, and then I could bear weight but not lift it off teh floor without a LOT of pain. Now, after having the icepack on it for 2 hours, and taking 4 ibuprofen, the pain is bearable as long as I don't try to bend it or move it too much. I do need to get back to the chaise, tho.

Pam! Good to see you! What a nightmare with your girls!

Barb, that's cool about the deer at your mom's grave!

Momma Mo, I sure hope everyone who's going to get pneumonia hurries up and gets it so the whole ordeal can be over. When my kids were little and we were all sick and coughing, I used to call us the "LastName Clan Coughing Choir."

Linda, OUCH! on the ankle. Take care!

Ds3 is home from the hospital on a weekend pass. What a lot of work we have to do!

Better get back at it.

I like that...the coughing choir!

My doc couldn't take Emily, but will see her at the same time he sees me on Monday. Hope she doesn't end up in the ER. Well, at least there would be x-rays....

My eyes are buggy from loading e-Bay items. I sure hope it's a busy Christmas.

We put out our first batch of bear bait for the season....um...birdfood. I wonder if I should have one of the kids bring the feeder in so no bears knock down the pickett fence to get to it. (Had to repair it twice one winter! Then we started taking them in at night...) At least the table on the deck has food on it...maybe we'll meet whoever has replaced our dearly departed "Bob". Need to get some new names ready for the new ones.

Good night everyone! Hope you all sleep well!

Ouch! Will you need a cast Linda?

Momma Mo I was looking forward to people getting better at your house. I've been praying for you all.

Maggie, glad Ds3 is home for a visit. Hope all goes well. Are you putting him up in the upstairs bedroom?

My grandson won their football game. It was an important game too as the other team came in with no losses same as my grandson's team. I believe there is one more game before the play offs.

How is Cody doing Barb?

My boss got mad at me again Thursday. On my job performance review that gives me 30 days to change or be fired it said I couldn't work on a spreadsheet that I had done to keep track of my student's progress. Then ugh 3 times I was asked by email to give information that could only come from me either doing another spreadsheet like it or from the one I am not to be using. Well I sent an email asking, "Do I have permission to use it because I was told ONLY "name of person at other campus" was to do this and I was NOT to do so." I could tell she was mad because the gossip was flowing between her and her boss.

I know they are trying to find stuff to lay on me to justify their decision to fire me and I know they have gossiped about me with the students and with other people at the college I work for. I can't say anything in my defense because that would come back on me as being the bad guy even more. And geesh all this started because I bought a gift for my new program students and my boss who hadn't told me not to was displeased because she had told me that she thought it was a cheap gift to give. It was inexpensive but it was also a nice thought and I wanted to do something for them.

I figured if it wasn't this it would have been something else as she gets angry real easy. Like my daughter said if they liked me I would be ok. She said she has made big mistakes at work and they cover for her or tell her it's ok. I wonder why I rub my boss the wrong way.

I'm sorry things are so stressful at work Ginny.

Momma-mo, I hope everyone is doing better at your house.

Maggie, I hope your son had a good weekend.

Leah, how's your ankle?

Praying for all of these things.

Pretty good weekend here. Friday my middle schooler played with the band at the HS ball game. No garage sale-ing this weekend. Taking my daughter to work Saturday was painful, there were so many signs. But it was late by then and I had little or no cash. Church today was good.
