Does anyone else HATE coupons??
I'm trying to keep our grocery budget down...and I'm making a valiant effort, I really am. But I just find the whole coupon/figuring thing to be very stressful. Maybe I'm doing it wrong?
I'd just rather keep expenses down another way.
If anyone has some tips, I'd be glad to hear them...
Sandy

I HATE HATE HATE coupons....I have never found them to be of any help to me...just give me a headache. I just cut expenses other ways, like doing the case lot sale for certain items, or knowing that certain things are cheaper at the commissary or at wal-mart and getting those items there. The only time I ever use coupons is if I am getting that item and they have the coupon right there beside it (like they do all the time at the commissary). Other then that I only use them (if I remember) when they come in a package of something I buy often...like diapers....some brands come with a coupon for the next purchase in the bag, so when I remember I use those.
My friend that does live off of them though, says the best way to get good useful coupons is to get the phone number and call them and ask for coupons to be sent to you. She esp does that if a new item comes out that she wants to buy. She says that usually those coupons are well worth it.

Nicole, isn't it so awesome how God provides?! That is so cool! I love hearing about what God is doing for other people.

Good afternoon ladies! How be all of you today? I am really good. We went to grief share again last night and it was really great! Everyone was giggly and happy and we all had a really fun time! The leaders invited Lorne and I over to their place on friday which is super exciting! So yay!!!

I am also very excited because on friday I am getting 3 white female guinea pigs. The lady is allergic to them and wanted them to go to a good home. And since my life is pets ( ) she decided I would make a new good mommy. The only thing was that she doesn't have a cage for them... She made a really cool cage, but it is open and our cats would always be rolling around in the shavings and would drive me nuts. They wouldn't bug the guinea pigs or hurt them, but they would love to sleep in their cage. So I pretty much said I couldn't take them because I don't have a cage for them. She then emailed me back and said she is going to buy a cage for them!!! She just wants them to go to a good home! So I will get 3 young guinea pigs AND a cage for free! We are meeting her at a mall between our homes this friday at 2! I cannot wait!!!! I have wanted another 2 guinea pigs. Ones that can live together to see how they interact with eachother. And now I will get 3! The mice I got 2.5 weeks ago are super sweet and it is so much fun seeing them hang out.

Lately I have met a lot of people who have even more pets that I do. Like, twice as many pets or more. So there are other people out there like me! And they know how to take care of a million pets and still have a clean home. It is nice to see and meet other pet lovers.

Where is everyone today?

I'm so tired. I have not been sleeping well at all. I woke up in a panic today, realizing I still needed to file my quarterly sales tax. It's due in 5 days. So I spent the afternoon doing that, and now I'm going to go clean. Fun.

It is very quiet today hey?

Is CW acting up for any of you? I have had the hardest time logging in this week and last week too. By the time I log in I just answer my PM's and then log out. It keeps freezing on me and not loading pages. It was working fine this morning, but not it is taking forever to do the smallest tasks...

Grace starts her first morning of Kindy tomorrow. I don't know why I am so nervous about it!! Last night I warned her that not everyone knows who God is and she said " ohhhhhh I will have to tell them then" I am just afraid she will tell everyone off and that God doesn't like this or that as she does all day long with me...

Aww Nicole.....I hope she has fun. Don't worry, I can remember telling all my little schoolmates that if they weren't Catholic, they'd be going to hell. They got over it, LOL.

I'll be praying for Grace (and you Nicole)!

I bet you were a real firecracker in school, Stina!

Nathan has learned which are the longest books, and hands them to us to read before bedtime now. He's really exploding verbally, coinciding with his new-found love of books (even when he's not trying to delay bedtime).

We always show him pictures of grandma and grandpa in Florida. We want to keep them in his mind, even though he doesn't see them often. Well he won't say "grandma" or "grandpa", but he has started saying "four-i-da" when he sees their picture. Today he handed me the phone and said "four-i-da", so I called Florida! They got a kick out that. They know he's closer to my parents, but they do so much want to keep a relationship with him.

My neice (who lives about 3 hours away) asks to call me all the time... then she refuses to talk to me. The entire conversation is my brother saying, "Tell Aunt Zippy what you did today" or "Tell Aunt Zippy what book we just read."

LOL, Zippy. That is funny. Timmy is finally starting to talk to my mom on the phone. He always tells her, "Make a burrito and go to the playground in the blue car" Hahaha!

That's usually what he does at grandma's house. Timmy is a very picky eater, so my mom will usually make burritos or pasta or something. And, she always takes him to the park. When they're that age, they are still very selfish, so they associate what people do for them with the person.

Hmmm . . . . . . hard to say! Maybe they actually raise them to sell the seeds?

Yay, Nicole!
