I know as he passed the threshold of heaven, Bob heard these words from his Lord and Savior, "Well done, good and faithful servant enter into the joy of the Lord."
May this be a reminder to us all to make every attempt to finish as well as Bob did.

Nan, my friend. I am praying for you and your family today...
Lord bless Nan above and beyond
Lord touch her heart and take this pain away from her
Lord put your arms around her and let your love just over flow through her
Lord give her the rest she needs tonight so she may be at peace tonight
Lord give her energy so that she can get through this week and do what she
needs to do with all the planning
Lord give her comfort to know that precious, wonderful man Bob is in heaven
right now perfectly healthy, with a brand new body, in the Lords beautiful kingdom
Lord I just pray for Nan tonight, I wish I was there to help her Nan through this
and do whatever I could for her

God thank you that you promised not to leave us but that You would send a Comforter . I pray Lord Jesus that your Holy Spirit comforts our sear sister in ways she never imagined . Help her and the kids , hold them and grant them your everlasting peace . In Jesus name I do pray
Nancy I am so very very sorry . I have no wonderful words to console you my dear friend , I do have continual prayers that will be going up for you and the family though .

Dear friends,
Well, the plans are finally made.
It went on from 1 p.m. today until about 8, including the funeral home/stuff;
the church service/stuff;
and then finally the flower/stuff. Someone even came in and opened their shop for us tonight on a sunday, and time was so short.
The visitation is at the funeral home tomorrow at: 5:30 to 7:30, in Morton.
The funeral is 10 a.m. at church, on Tuesday, in Washington.
Then back to Morton for burial and a military salute, as he was in the US Army.
then back to Washington for a luncheon.
Then of course we will collapse on Wednesday. My son and DIL are here until 3 p.m. friday, and the daughter and SIL will be in Peoria area for five years.
We have video testimonies, picture boards, music cd's, things we want to say.....
We have personal life Bible verses, Bob's favorite songs, etc....
It is all a testimony to Bob, as it is his service to honor a wonderful man.
We have had neighbors and friends support and more to 'eat' than we know what to do with. Literally.
We have felt love, love love and love here.
Praise God for loving support, your prayers, and your beautiful words.
Please pray for our time during the service.
Please pray for our time at both places.
Please pray for our 'let down' on Wednesday.
Please pray for me to find the perfect full time job, at 55 years old!
Please pray for me to have energy and love to spill over to this new job.
Please pray for my children to remember Bob forever, as time goes on. They adore him, and I just want them to remember his beautiful love.
They are so young. 23 and 27.
Sigh.
Pray for our faith. Pray for our determination, dedication, devotion, discipline, and diligence to stay the course on the path to heaven. (Those are Bob's and my five D's we used all the time)
Pray for me to.....fill the lonely hours of pain for Bob's presence with something that brings increased meaning into my life, whatever God will bring to me.
Thank you my DEAR friends that I CHERISH so much.

Lord, give Nan the right people to be by her side at this time.
A quiet friend who doesn't seem to tell her how to be, is what I pray for.
I call them "rainy day friends". I ask Lord that you take care of all the details of the next weeks and months. Let Nan just be able to hold on to Your hand and even be angry at You God--- if she need be. It is so much emotion she is feeling at this time. Everyone always says to the grieving but now the person you love is in heaven and much better place.
It is so hard to grasp this when you are in the midst of losing your Best Friend, Love.
So I say to Nan, you can feel whatever you need to. I just say we are here to listen and let you be you...in all your raw feelings.
Missing the Love of your life, and perhaps saying to God, but Why, Why?

PW, I'm sure you don't feel strong right now. But you are strong. And you walk in the Lord's strength.
Dear Father, lifting up PW and the whole family to You this morning. Be with them throughout the day. Give them strength, and faith, and peace, and comfort, and all that You know is best. Bring back to mind wonderful memories. Help them through the coming days. We love You Lord, and we thank You for all that You are doing for Nan and her family. In Jesus name. Amen.

Father,
I pray for Nan and the family today as they celebrate the life and example of Bob. I know that he is with you now, free of pain, and you have honored him for his example, his witness, and for finishing strong in you to the end. We thank you for that, we can count on you to be there for us, in the good times, and the tough times.
Father, please give Nan and the family peace today. Put your loving arms around them, wipe their tears, comfort them as only you and your holy spirit can in these times of need. Let them feel the love of your kingdom here, your church and people.
I pray especially for Nan and process of grief. Father, comfort and provide for her in ways that we can't and can't understand. Give her peace and relief from any pain of this temporary separation from Bob, fill her life with friends, with your church, with things that give her a reason and a purpose. I thank you for her witness her on the forum, her example of faithfulness.
I pray this in your son's most holy name.
