Nan's Bob died Friday afternoon after a very courageous battle.

Nan, I'll continue to pray for you, the kids, the extended family, church family, co-workers and all those who knew and loved Bob.
His battle was a courageous one and his testimony of how to live as a Christian and how to die as a Christian has not been overlooked. There's a welcome home party in heaven today!
You, my dear sister/ friend, have showed us all how to keep believing, rely on Jesus, put our trust in our Lord and more. That's a lesson we will not forget.
You prayed for US when your needs were much, much, much greater. You are a wonderful, selfless friend.
We love you, dear Nan.

I pray Lord that You would be there for Nan's children in their grieving process. Help Nan -- with Your Strength -- to be there for Bob's beautiful children, and allow them to grieve however they need.
I ask for extra rest, and a smoothie or whatever sounds good to Nan, when she can eat. I send all my Love to you, Nan. You are in my thoughts.

Father I pray for Bob's wife Nan and her family that they be strenghened and pray that our heavenly father put their arms around them during their time of greif. Lord, youi know, we greive, but we at the same time we have hope in you. Let them be reminded that there is a hope that they will see him again also.

NaN, I am sorry, so sorry for you and your children, friends, aunts, uncles.
You both fought a brave battle, and BoB has the victory with the Lord.
Dear Jesus be with dear NaN, she has been through o very much, and fought the good fight of faith. Her dear husband was a very brave man, and now knowing joy with you. Lord deat still has its sting, but not victory over believers, Lord thank you for hope, and not all is lost. Be with Nan give her strength and mercy every day, and like wise with the children.

Lord, please take Bob into your kingdom and hold him close to your heart. Until the very end, he was a firm believer in you. You reward those who have faith in you, Lord. Reward Bob accordingly, and grant him the rest he deserves in your glorious kingdom. And may his strong faith in you serve as an example to all of us, and help bring us closer to you as it did him.
Also, God, please be with Nan on this day, and in the future. Look down upon her as the faithful and trusting servant that she is. Bless her and give her comfort in knowing that Bob's suffering is now at an end and that he might have peace and rest in your Holy Kingdom where you reign forever and ever. Surround her with friends and family who will share in her grief and help ease any pain that resides in her heart. Remind her that you are at her side at all times, good and bad, and that she can depend on you to carry her through even the toughest of times such as this.
God, all of us are sinners, and all of us will die upon this earth at one time or another. However, in your mercy, you gave us your beloved Son, Jesus Christ, and He died for us upon the cross so that we might not have eternal death, but eternal life. Welcome Bob into that eternal life with you, Lord, and help remind all of us, especially his beloved Nan, that we, too, will some day rejoin him in your kingdom. We ask this in the name if the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

((((NAN))))))) I'm so very sorry for what you and your children are going through; I'm (literally) weeping for your loss although I never knew your dear husband...It's hard to know why God chooses to bring someone home before what we think should be their time. Oh Lord, I am just beside myself and I am so saddened to know that Bob passed away. Lord,
even though I have not ever met Nan and Bob, my heart is deeply saddened for Nan and the children. The one awesome thing is that Bob is now with you in your wonderful kindgom, please keep him near you Lord, he was such a great christian man, I pray Lord that you will touch Nan and ease this pain, I pray that you will be with the children, grandchildren, be with them and comfort them Lord...
Nan, I love you and I wish I was there to hug you and be there for you..I just sit here with tears in my eyes because I can only imagine right now what you are going through...I just pray for a hedge of protection over you and I pray that the Lord just comfort you and hold you tightly and strengthen you during this rough time....

Thank you all.
I feel so sick at heart this morning. My friend is gone.
I am so happy he is free at last from a daily, hourly, moment by moment battle with pain and fatigue that was devastating.
Six months was like years of pain, but six months was only moments from finding this deadly disease to losing Bob.
I cannot imagine my next 30 years of not growing old with my Bob.
We were looking forward just as much to the next 30 as the last.
He was my personal earthly hero and always will be.
Thank you all.
I ask you to pray for me for as long as you can in the days and months ahead.
I ask God to bless you and yours.

I had already posted on the other thread before I found this one. My thoughts and prayer are there.
Nan, we will continue to pray for you and your family. What a great wittness you are. We'll be praying for your comfort, and peace and strength in the days ahead. And knowing that one day the Lord will wipe away all your tears and that the you and Bob will never have to say goodbye again, and your joy will be complete.

Lord be with Nan and her family in their time of need.
Give Nan the comfort and assurance she needs right now.
Help her Lord and bless her with your sustaining grace.
There are no words at times like these Lord.
Their meaning is so lost in the sorrow and grief.
This is a time when the emptiness can only be filled with the presence of your Holy Spirit.
Be with this family Lord and bless them with peace beyond measure.

nan,
as has been my practice for the last several months, i woke up and check for news on bob. i am so sorry for your loss.
later, as i sat in a hot bath, i was praying and thinking about you and bob. why was i so affected by his death? then i realized what a gift your faith has been to me. how this forum has brought so many brothers and sisters in the Lord together. how important your witness is to others.
i guess what i'm trying to say is this--i don't know you, but i've come to love you and bob and THANK YOU for all you have done for others. and THANK YOU LORD, for such a wonderful man as bob.
and i will continue to pray for you and your family
