I like the autum theme as I don't need another mug because I never drink out of the few I have. I am not a hot beverage drinker but love fall things.

I like the general autumn idea. I don't need any blankets or mugs. I'm not a hot drink person, and tea and coffee can't be sent into Australia anyway. I like having the freedom to be able to send autumn things.

I think maybe there should be a limit to the cost of the item ($5? $10?). I know there are those of us who are really watching our pennies right now and some get scared off these things because of the cost involved.

Again, just my 2 cents worth.

That would be great. That way neither of us will know who our sis is if we divide the names.

I'm all for a general autumn theme as well ... and that way those of us up here in Canada can send nice but lightweight items so that the shipping charges don't break the bank ... (and to give an example of high shipping costs ... a fellow CW is currently sending me an item ... for her to ship it is around $25. For me to ship the same item to her would be around $60!)

Ok, so only 10 people voted and it looks like Autumn is a good theme so far. What about dates? We don't want this to run into the winter SS so we need to get going on that. And price limits. What is comfortable for everybody?

For price, I don't know. As for dates, I'd say look at mid-September to start ... that way anyone who has kids in school has a chance to get organized after the first couple weeks of hectic chaos. (And those of us with new babes will have a chance to get past the first few weeks of zombie-ness)

I may be back in again. I think I sat out the last few.

I like the hot drinks idea. Or, mug and recipe for hot drinks. Or, blanket...could be the receiver's choice according to the poll. I have more than enough blankets. And what about people in the south, do they use blankets?

I live in Phoenix, and we don't use blankets other than what's on our beds. Granted, we don't drink much hot chocolate either...seasons are sort of an odd concept here. I'm not really a knick-knack person either. Maybe someone can mail me pictures of the leaves on the trees turning colors!

hmmm... post #22 must have been typed in invisible ink where I said I'd be willing to help. LOL!

I like the autumn themed idea and I like the idea of putting a cost limit on the gift too. Those of us who are on a tighter budget can feel slightly intimidated by those who are not on as tight of a budget. KWIM?

Hey ladies...I haven't participated in one of these for a while because of the cost the last time. I will try this time. I won't post my info in the thread (when it starts) until I'm sure I'll have the financial ability to purchase the gift and pay for shipping... I'd love to join y'all though! :)

Shipping around the first of October sounds good to me. Also having a price limit is a good idea. I would say no more than $10 because there is still the cost of shipping. That would put the total around $15. While it makes it easier to guess who has you, it may help those in AUS and CAN if their names are just exchanged among them. That way they aren't trying to ship internationally. (Sorry if I missed anybody else in the world in this thread.)
