Avatar envy has been thick today.

This sure tells me about my friends--it's like when your slip is showing. Which friend will tell you, and which friend will stand back and watch, amused, and which friend will rent a billboard and run a life-size photo?

I'm so sorry about the current events experience!

Just reading the newspaper can be an ugly experience these days. Mr. Cranky says he doesn't read the news because it is bad for his soul.

But I'm very sorry about the ugly behavior between Christians.

Then there are friends (i.e., Sharon-Marie) who won't notice your slip is showing because they're too busy making eye-contact with you.

I agree with Mr. Cranky.

I took a short break to watch Boomsday and eat popcorn with Mrs. Kerrlaw.

Boomsday is an annual gigantic fireworks display along the river in Knoxville. One of the highlights is a cascade of fireworks, looking like a waterfall, off the bridge.

Mr. cranky is a wise man.

Sounds good to me.

Thanks Brenda.

Now the question becomes, do we spell it with or without the "s".

Hi Sharon-Marie! Nice to see you.

It is pretty funny that I had a naked Joan of Arc in my avatar.

I don't recommend the inexperienced try it . . . they might sprain sumpin.

Boomsday, popcorn and Mrs. Kerr sounds like just the best thing for you, Kerr.

So that's what's wrong with me. I once tried to be noble and must have sprained sumpin.

I wouldn't call it avatar envy. I'd just say that Kerr was doing what most Baptists do when they see other Baptists in a liquor store. Pretending they didn't see a thing...

we nearly always have a bottle of good port in our house.

Ok--I need to ask 'cause I don't keep up very well--we get a new thread every month now, right?

Kerrlaw, why don't you have a neverending thread in PFY?

I like to visit with Kerrlaw here in SG. I get to learn about SG music, chat with the SG folks, and it's kind of like the Crosswalk Water Cooler. People come from everywhere to say hello and chat.

But of course, it's Kerrlaw's thread, and he can move it if he wants to.

i was just curious, since it is a chat type thread, and some of us are not ...well.... SG Fans

in the traditional sense.

I hope this post came across right--I wasn't saying this to you, blue.

I was saying it to Kerrlaw, just in case he wants to move his thread.

I was just about to log off of forums and shut down the computer . . . but saw Kerr's thread in my sub list as showing a new post from Cranky.

That, in and of itself, is always a good reason to peak inside a thread.

And, Cranky, you probably already know I'm going to say this . . . but I absolutely love your new avatar!

Goodnight all.

Resistance is futile.

You will be assimilated.

I have thought about it blue, but I think people like it here, as do I.

Besides, it would be over 25,000 posts if it were in PFY, and might have gotten corrupted like the Lions's Den.

I like it too cranky. I can see a naked lady in the clouds.

I've been listening to the Booth Bros. new cd...the song "Welcome to the Family" was playing when I read the last few posts in this thread....It kind of fit. We love Kerr here in SG and don't want him running off like some of our other friends. I have a hard time keeping up with both PFY and SG...must be the pending geezerhood.
I like Cranky's watercooler analogy!

Goodnight folks...

edited...geezerhood has struck...cannot spell!

Yeah. In here it's corrupt but doesn't crash...

And I know what you mean about current events. I don't post much in there anymore. I love a good debate and I confess to enjoying a good troll now and again, but when it's actually believers, especially folks I had respect for in other folders, being cruel to each other - it really disheartens me. And I don't really go into the race threads anymore either. If people want to be morons, I don't want to know.
