And, please, my American friends....if you live in a state that borders Canada, please, please, please tell me that you know which province it borders with?

LOL, Yolanda. Anyone with half a memory can study a map of Canada for 15 minutes and know where all the provinces are (at least the bottom half)...it's not like you have 50 of them LOL!

When I first met you on here and you said you were from NB, when I thought of a map of Canada in my head, I was thinking Manitoba. But, I've looked at a map of Canada since then, and I know where all the bottom provinces are now.

Yes, ma'am. Ontario. We live very close to the border, and have always worked & gone to school with Canadians. I can't imagine not knowing anything about CA geography if you are in a border city.

Washington, and north of WA is BC.

Maggie - that's funny about your husband. I don't actually argue theology with the Mormons. My argument involves the history of interracial marriage in the church, the unchanging nature of God, and how their living prophets are false. Once I link all three, everyone admits that they're confused and can't help me.

My stepfather is taking on the JW's (we've divided up). At one point they were stopping by his house every week and every week leaving confused.

Sandy - there's an LDS church in our neighbourhood so we always see them out. Whenever Dh sees them coming he says "uh oh" and it's not because he doesn't want to have to listen to them, it's because he doesn't want to have to listen to me!!!

everywhere we lived we would get them and my dad would make an impression on them. He would always invite them in and "talk" with one stipulation....if he listened to them do their spill then they had to listen to him do his spill too. I remember several times it turning into a four or five hour "Bible study"...lol. One LDR church one place we lived had so many convert that they wouldn't allow their people to come by our house anymore...they wouldn't even pass by directly in front of our house, they would go to the other side of the street to pass our house. LOL...I am not sure what they told everyone about us, but I am sure it scared them because of how that one church treated us after a while.

I'm just hoping that not everyone would have the same blank stare I got from a cashier in a mall in Maine, when I told her we were from New Brunswick. She had no clue at all, I could have told her I was from Timbuctoo and got the same reaction. Please tell me this wouldn't be a universal reaction??

well, I know where NB is, but I don't live in a border state!!!

Rachel, you look like your mom a lot! That peach struesel looks fantastic too. I can't imagine how much all that honey would cost though, it's so expensive here.

We Canadians find it humourous because the "top provinces" as you would be apt to call them are actually known as the Territories ... Northwest, Yukon, and Nunavut! Canada has 10 provinces and 3 territories. (There's your 10 second Cdn geography lesson for the day)

I've never heard anyone say "bottom Provinces" before. That's cute! By the way, I stink at anything to do with history, maps and all that jazz so don't ask me any questions... even about Canada.

Lexie, that's a cute tag line...my hubby (being an Economist himself) would have to take issue with it though...Economics is really the study of human behavior.

I'm proud to say that I don't know a thing about Canadian Provinces!

nah...the geography doesn't really matter so much down there....the most important thing when crossing that border is to remember NOT TO DRINK THE WATER!!!!!!! LOL

LOL, OK. I didn't know there was a difference between territories and provinces....interesting! Probably because we're all states here, even Alaska. OK, so the territories are on the top, and the provinces are on the bottom. Why are they called territories anyway? Do indians live there?

If I'm not mistaken . . . . . it's macaroni and cheese? I think the British call it something similar, we'll have to ask Manda.

Your welcome! The kids get the biggest kick out of watching her on TV. She's cooked on the news a few times this summer . . . . .

Rachel - That is so cool that your mom was on television!

Canada - I am clueless to some degree, but I live in Georgia which is far, far, far away from Canada.

I finally took a picture of my haircut: NEW HAIR DO. I am starting to like it the more I play around with it and style it myself. I feel much better with shorter hair for some reason though. With longer hair it never seemed to hold a style and it always felt stringy if that makes sense. Plus, its nice to not
have hair falling all over when trying to do something.
