(((((((((((((((((((((((((Nicole)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) I'm so sorry you are still dealing with this scenerio. :( :( :(

It's amazing how upset I am today! Even depressed! I'm surprised by it myself. That and how many negative comments I've gotten IRL. I'm sad that my period is coming and I'm wracking my brain trying to figure out 'why' it happened. I mean how RANDOM is it that I took an ovulation test (thinking it was a preg test) at the exact moment it would have been two lines?! What is the purpose in having that information?

by the way - Thank you for your upbeat positive encouragement through this whole thing - Even your comments on the fact that I should even TRY. I love all of you for that. We've been discouraged by the other reactions we've received IRL.

Manda - I've thought about it and I think there are two people that could help me. I think and hope. My small group are the type of people that are there for you if you need them, but forget to call if there isn't a "need" if you get what I mean.

(((Nicole))) - That does stink!

Jae - All those are emotions you are having are normal. I have learned that no matter what choices you make in life there will ALWAYS be someone who disagrees thinking they know better. We make choices that are right for us and our family (husband and children), no one else. It still hurts when comments are made, but you do what is best for you.

Well, the living room is cleaned and laundry is going. Why do I struggle with cleaning so much, I am such a procrastinator. I feel better when my house is orderly, but I hate having to get it that way...I am lazy...I will admit it.

Thanks Rachel, Janine and Chelle Yes, Janine... still the same scenario. How lame is that?! But my mom has always been this way so its not like she is going to change. I usually don't get excited until they actually call and say they are on there way, but this time I was excited cuz both Lorne and I need a break from our lives lately and we thought it would be a nice break with my parents. I just don't get how she can get out of the mindset of coming like that. They weren't going to leave tomorrow anyways. Oh well...

(((((((((((((((Janine))))))))))))) I am so sorry that you feel depressed today. And the people who are not being so supportive in real life are so not cool! I too am glad that you have all of us to support you and make you feel better.

Chelle, maybe try listening to music when you clean? Or have the tv on when you clean the livingroom and listen to music when you clean the rest of the house. I am usually doing either of those when I clean.

LOL there are a lot of newborn babies in this neighbourhood. One is not happy at the moment. Its screams are sooooo loud because there are no trees or anything to muffle sounds here. Poor parents lol!

Awesome, thanks for starting the thread, Christina!

I saw our rat a little bit ago. I saw his nasty little hind end moseying underneath our big chair. Hubby turned the chair upside down and ripped the bottom off and we dragged it out to the front porch. We found all the bread inside the chair. Hilarious.

I feel horrible this morning. Fighting a sinus infection. My head is completely congested. Nasty.

Hi Rachel,

I just saw you rat "tale". Hee Hee Glad you got rid of them. Here's a scary thought... We were out of town for a while and when we came back, DH opened one of the toilet lids to find a big ol' dead rat! I couldn't sit on that toilet for weeks. He said when you don't use your sewer lines for a while they can crawl into them. We always keep out toilet lids down, otherwise he would've had free reign of the house.

I'm having a problem with little miceys. They're cute but freak me out all the same. They've been getting into our motor home, so we strategically place empty milk jugs with Decon in them throughout the outside parameter. Hopefully, that will keep them from dying inside. It seems to be working. Haven't seen any for a few days.

What is with grouchy kids today? Akeelah was a grouch all morning. We just got back from a friends, and she was fine there, but I'm sure she'll be a grouch soon enough. Is it nap time yet????

Alright, now I need to go clean. This place is a mess and I should get it tidied before Dh comes home from work (1 hour left )

Christi - I'm sorry you weren't able to adopt your daughter's sister, my husband and I hope to be able to foster siblings one day. Does your daughter's biological family have any contact with you?

Thank you.

No contact with the biological family. The bio mom has a bad habit of having babies born addicted to crack cocaine. She asked for DCS to bring papers to the hospital before delivering GB and she never told her family about her. She didn't look at her or anything...just got her things and left. She says it was a rape, but GB and this woman's first child are identical except that the other child is a boy...same hair, nose, mouth...everything. We're pretty sure she said those things (and a lot of other things) because she didn't want her son taken away from her after GB's drug screen came back positive.

However, the little baby girl that hubby said no to was adopted by somebody who is a foster parent in the system and the two of us have talked on the phone and may get the girls together some day.

(((((((((Christi)))))))))) I feel sad for you. I never knew you adopted and could have had your daughter's sibling too. That would kill me if I were in your situation and my husband said no.

Thanks for the hug.

It really is hard. The baby is adopted now and her mom is a very nice lady...makes me feel a bit better about it. Wonder if hubby will ever come around? Idunno.

(((((((Christi)))))))) I wasn't aware of that (I knew you had adopted your sweet baby girl, but I didn't know you had the opp. to adopt her sister). I'm sorry.

Thank you, Rachel.

We heard about the sibling right around the time that I unsubbed from this thread last year. That's right when I needed you gals the most. I was feeling bad about all the time I was spending on the computer back then.

Hey, I've been talking to your mom over in the Southern Gospel folder for years! She's a sweetie!

Yolanda is going to take a pregnancy test in the grocery store.

That totally cracked me up.

I think I should turn off the puter, crank the tunes and get cleaning too ... maybe it'll cause my contractions to intensify ...

Yeah ... I'll get as much cleaning done as I can before the rain pours down again ... and then I can move downstairs when the rain hits and sit with the wet vac, deflooding our basement yet again ...

Now to find distractions for all the kids ..........

Sorry your mom was wishy-washy about visiting. Bummer.

I can imagine how upsetting this is after the excitement from yesterday...so sorry about that.

You can count mine in the grouch club. She's having a very whiny day today. We've both had colds, so I guess she's still grouchy from feeling bad. I don't know how many times I said "say it without whining so that I can understand you" today. Poor GB.

I have run all my errands this morning and am soooo tired. AND the house just happens to need a really bad cleaning...the kids have been especially rough with things this morning, so the floors need to be swept, mopped, and dishes put in the dishwasher...and many other things. Hubby is off work during the day hours tomorrow, so I really want to get things done today/tonight so that I feel free to do things with him tomorrow and Saturday. *sigh* but I'm sooooo tired. I feel like a whiny baby...of which there is already one in the house, so I need to get it together.

The boys think that is just amazing to hit the bottom of the kitchen table with their new "prize" from McDonald's. I don't understand that...it just sounds like a lot of noise to me...and they just smile.

I don't think he ever thought about how many kids he wanted until GB came along. I think he seriously thinks he couldn't love another child like he loves her. Of course, I don't buy that at all.

I got the bathroom cleaned/mopped, some laundry done, the house dusted, now I just need to sweep/mop the living room and kitchen and do the dishes. I'd LOVE to crank up some tunes, but we got rid of our stereo a while back (dinosaur, lol) and my laptop speakers are sad. I'd love to get an ipod with the speaker base thingy, lol. Hubby and I love to crank 90s music. That's our era.

Whereas I got NOTHING done ... kids all woke up super grouchy ... rain came down again, but not enough to flood us (yet) ... and my ankle is really throbbing now because one of the kids decided we needed a rock garden on the living room floor ... which I didn't see until I stepped on it and went over on the side of my foot ... ouch!

You go girls with cleaning! I did a little myself.

Kara - I am so sorry you hurt your ankle!!! It's NOT easy have grouchy kiddos!

I mentioned to Jason that we 'could' get pregnant right now. And, even with our extreme disappointment, neither one of us had the guts to actually try and make it happen. LOL

eh, ok....it's both of them. They cramp up a lot still but I am used to it. I just know how to get through life without opening things or grabbing things too tightly.

Sarah

Are you going to go for the surgery once Justice is weaned?

they tell me with how bad mine are that it's the only way to get any kind of relief...but that any future pregnancy will make whatever surgery I do get not do any good anymore...so I have to wait til he is weaned and til we are sure we aren't having any more kids. So it could be another year and a half or two at least (my goal for bfing is two years...the last few have stopped on their own though about a year and a half)

quote:

Sarah- hope the potty training keeps going well, and a side note on the sappy military emails- I think people sending them thinking it will communicate that they "understand" and are thinking of you- that seemed to be the sentiment when dad was over there...

yeah I am sure that is their sentiment, but I still hate them...esp the ones about death.
we took today off from potty training...though we may pick it up now. We were gone to stores, park, etc all morning, then nap this afternoon. He just got up from that so I guess it's time to get out of the diaper for the day.

ok..skipping a bunch of posts...I got the general idea I think...Nicole's parents are being weird (again )....Jae's not pregnant...and Yolanda may be. Anything else I missed? (I don't want to spend the next 30 minutes really reading everything...Erin wanted me to post an update in her thread for her so I want to get over there)

Some people do get scared thinking they won't love their second child as much as their first. I don't know why they think that (could be a number of reasons), but usually when they have their 2nd child they love it as much as their first and feel silly that they ever thought that.
