I'm teaching a comparative religions class on the first Sun of every month for nine months. Well, I think it's ten, actually. Anyway, I start next Sunday.

I have had a splitting headache since yesterday afternoon.

My printer will not print any more than 5 pages at a time. It does not matter how mnay you ask it to print, it only does 5 at a time.

I asked it to print a 31 page document, and it has taken over an hour to get it all done. Between having to check to see which 5 pages printed, and then having paper jams and alignment problems, now you know why it took so long to print one document.

There's other things I'd like tp print, but am taking a break right now from all the aggravation.

So you're teaching the class for adults in your church, Jen? How did you get asked to teach the class?

Cramps and headaches! Yuck!

If I lived nearby, I would bring you ladies chocolate, ibuprofen and then I'd take all the kids to the park so you could both have some peace, zoe and Jenn.

On the way back I would price check a laser jet printer for narnia too!

How did you manage to do that!!!

I managed to get a nap in while the kids were awake. Then, I worked on my photo albums, then I took dd and buckaroo for a bike ride, then I sat around with the kids... now I am being totally annoyed by dd and her whining I wish I would of trained her to take naps throughout her years. She is 6 and could still use one!!!

I am worried about my Tuesday. I tried to cancell dentist appt. twice. Well, they called on Friday, during closed hours and left a message to confirm the dentist appt for Tuesday. This place will make me pay if I don't cancell within 24 hours. I tried to call them back but they are closed on Fridays, and on weekends... and most likely on Labor Day. If I have to pay, I will just end up going, but then it will really mess up my day and make me late for other activities. This is really their fault because I've left 2 messages on their answering machine cancelling appointments, AND I've talked to the lady twice now to confirm that they got my message. I just don't get it.

Hope your feeling better soon Jen and Zoe.

I now have 6 rolls of film shot and a 7th in the camera with very likely a 8th and 9th for the game tomorrow. 9x24=216 images. YES, I am taking many many many more than I need of each shot cause I will not have another chance as Jerry leaves for the Pre deploy site survey on Wednesday and the project is due the wed after he gets back--- not enough time to re-shot and get developed.

I have been doing test shots on the digital and am liking what i am seeing and praying that the ones from the 35mm are as good or better than the digital as i have already taken the images 3-5 times prior to even pointing the 35mm at it object being shot.

hehehehe

YES- I shoot people.

I got a Crop A Dile Big Bite Eyelet Setter and Hole Punch. It will punch two layers of fabric + the photo and set the larger eyelet beautifully into this project. The smaller eyelets just are not substantial enough to hold the 2 layers of fabric + the photo.

Okay- the kids just got home from youth... Triss comes in here and sits down hard "I HATE her driving." Jeromy comes in his eyes as big as saucers. Trill comes in "It seems so silly now..." Triss is not ready to give it up.

Turns out that they were being quiet on the ride home so Trill pushed the raido button to start an audio book. *GASP* Triss did NOT want to listen to said audio book. Jeromy did not like the guys voice. Both told trill so in not so many words and upset her so she got angry and took a turn at 25MPH that should'a been a stop and then turn freaking Triss even further.

I told them I was NOT going to drivce them to church and drop them off then drive home and then drive back out and get them and drive home so they needed to suck it up, put on their big girl panties and get over it or die mad. Trill can listen to music while she drives why not an audio book? Hello....

Both left upset. So now Triss is off Boo-hooing. and trill following her all I'm Sorry. I don't NEED their little self pity fest.

We do have West Nile here, but no, I haven't, lol. I am feeling lousy but I am pretty sure it's sinus-related.

Nate let me take a nice nap this afternoon.

I am just glad that my tellin' um to sort it out worked and they sorted it out.

The turn was a yield type left, nothing was coming- but we normally about stop because folks coming up on the road on the left are obscured from our vision by a bank of trees. She did not do anything illegal just something we don't "normally" do.

I just loved the succinct way you put it. So much of life comes down to that, you know? Your children are blessed to have a mom with the wisdom to just say so.

Nobody on here is in the hurricanes path are they?

no not us, but most of my family and friends are since I grew up on the Gulf coast (right where TX and LA meet). Everyone I know is under mandatory evac's right now, so they are all headed inland and if it causes much damage they will head up here to wait it out (if it's more then just two or so days away from home). So we may have a full house next week.....or we may not. (sorry if I already posted that here...I feel like I am spamming the threads cause a bunch are asking the same thing so I have posted this a few different places)

I am getting less patient with my kids bickering. They are responsible for their attitudes and behaviors. I have taught them properly, now it their time to put into practice what I've been teaching them. I think I've given them way too much slack.

Dh's grandfather is not doing well. He has been unresponsive. Dh's mother put the phone to Gramp's ear, in his hospital bed. Dh spoke to him and Gramps opened his eyes and listened. My poor husband has been a wreck. He adores his grandfather. I wish he could go back before grandpa passes, but he will be needed later, during the funeral and all that. I'm wondering if maybe he should just buy a ticket a go in a week. He has three week of sick pay he can use for this purpose. The problem is that we don't know what might happen. Gramps could hang on for months and then we would have spent the money we have set aside for this purpose. It's really hard with his family being so far away.

On a brighter note, I was thinking of the fact that I will likely be in New York soon and will get to see some of my dear friends, who I have never met. Is that an oxymoron or what!
