I once ate a box of ice cream sandwiches (12) in like 3 days.
When I make chocolate chip cookies, I put dough balls in the freezer and tell hubby I can make cookies again easily later. He just laughs because he knows within a week all that frozen dough will be gone.

yeah... we live in an apt. complex, and he circles here just about daily... and the kids go running... and I can't get that song out of my head sometimes for hours! =)

I've never bought ice cream from a truck. I grew up in the country... they would have had to have been pretty desperate to come by my house. =)

well, the cream puffs are still safely in the store freezer... for now. I did buy a couple of candy bars on Saturday, and now they are all gone... I think David got one. hahaha...Oh well, sometimes a girl just NEEDS her chocolate! =)

LOL, I am dying for something sweet and of course have nothing like that in the house. Although when I get really desparate, I make toast and put butter, cinnamon and sugar on it. Sometimes that does the trick but it doesn't compare to a good donut or cake and ice cream.

You know what I've found to satisfy my sweet tooth some times? Take a flour tortilla, brush it with a little melted butter and vanilla extract, sprinkle a little sugar on it and bake until crispy. Add a tall glass of skim milk and you're doing pretty well.

Sometimes we girls just gotta have our sweet fix.

I like a banana with a spoonful of peanut butter. That usually satisfies my sweet tooth.

I do the very same thing except instead of the little bit of melted butter and baked, I go straight for the oil and fry them. Sweet and crunchy. But I haven't done that in quite a while.

You know what else is really super good is if you thaw out or make bread dough. (regular white bread) and flatten it out into little round things, then you fry them on both sides. Butter them and you can top them with either plain sugar, cinnamon and sugar, or make a glaze with powdersugar and milk. Very yummy. That is comfort food to me.

That sounds like the "donuts" I make with refrigerator "canned" biscuits. Take a pack of any kind of small, inexpensive refrigerated biscuits, fry in some oil, drain, and roll in powdered sugar. You can also make a glaze if you want to. I've even taken leftover chocolate frosting, heated in the microwave, and dipped the fried biscuits in it for chocolate glazed donuts. I can eat the whole plate full myself, they're so good!

Once while I was pregnant, tried to make funnel cakes (like at the fair). Not quite the same...but they weren't too bad. I, of course, ate them all. ...mmm...fried bread...

Very much the same way, but they tase soooo different. I have done both. Try the bread dough once. You just roll it into a small ball, or if you are using a frozen loaf, thaw it and slice it. Then you stretch it out so that it is not too thick or it won't cook in the middle. Then you put it in a pan and fry in vegetable oil on both sides until they are nice and crispy brown. The inside will be like a donut.

Yes, I'm sure they would be good, with a yeast-based dough like bread dough, vs a baking powder based dough like biscuit dough. I may have to buy some frozen bread dough this weekend!

It is a bit more expensive, but if you buy the Rhodes rolls all you have to do is thaw, flatten and fry. Then they come out the perfect size. Or just keep that in mind when you do it. I know that next weekend I am going to make them for breakfast with scrambled eggs for my kids.

I had pancakes 3 times this week and last time didn't even use sugar free syrup. Yummmm. Sometimes I put blueberries on them to justify eating them. Blueberries are good for you, right?

I love graham crackers with peanut butter, celery with peanut butter, apples with peanut butter and chocolate peanut butter pie.

I even eat peanut butter by the spoonful all by itself.

I'm at a time of wanting to "eat the whole thing" and it couldn't be at a worse time. I need to fit nicely in my dress!

Oh well then these are heaven to you. But if you make sure you exercise that day a bit more and eat lots of fiber and all that good stuff, they aren't bad if you only eat one. Plus they are pan fried, not deep fried.

This thread has inspired me to make a pan of Rice Krispie treats today. Actually I've been thinking about them since this thread was first started. I think I should probably try and make them later in the day, so that I don't have the chance to eat the whole pan before hubby gets home from work.
