I appreciate everyone who have posted on this thread. I think it is safe to say that we all believe in the basic fundamentals of the Trinity (three yet one and one yet three) which is the only thing that really matters. I want to reiterate what someone in this forum said to me which I believe is important and has some meaning. I was told "anything beyond this can be dangerous and a heresy." Someone else in this forum said to me "its when we talk about the personal attributes of God that can be blasphemous." Therefore, I hope we can keep this in mind and carry on a safe discussion.

I just want to reiterate what Ezra and FurGodWurLivin said in these posts several months ago which I believe is important and has some meaning. I'm not sure the exact words they used but something along the line of "trying to explain God can be dangerous" and "talking about the personal attributes of God can be blasphemous." I hope we can keep these warnings in mind and have a fruitful discussion.
And I just cannot let such poorly supported assertions go unchallenged! How is our God-given curiosity and intellectual capacity a dangerous thing if the intent of the heart is to draw closer to Him? "Blasphemous" is a particularly strong word to be thrown around so glibly. Was Moses blasphemous when he asked to see God? David when he described God in numerous anthropomorphic terms? Jesus when He called His Heavenly Father "Daddy"? I personally find great spiritual joy in talking about the personal attributes of God with like-minded Believers who understand Christianity is a relationship, not a religion!

Demark...I totally agree with your statement.

I love my Father and God with all my mind, soul and spirit. He lives within me and I within Him and I really think that He wants me to seek Him out and be as close to Him as I possible can. If I misspeak because of not being informed His divine being in some way, but if I do it with love...I don't think He will mind a bit.

An excellent post, drmark!
God gave us a brain, and He expects us to use them. And what better use can there be for our minds than in contemplating the one who crafted it?
