Do you love it when you are having your Bible Study or QT and something you have been reading starts to make sense or you have a thought and it amazes you?

Has anything like this happened to you lately and what was it that made you gasp in amazement?

YES!

Just yesterday a friend and I were driving up the Mississippi river road and I was reading from a Bonhoeffer book. I'd read a sentence and then we would talk about what he had said. This is the sentence that caused the response you mentioned.

The cross as God's truth over us is the only thing that makes us truthful.

I think I'm going to start a thread to discuss it here. Thanks, Little_1! You are a blessing to me.[sm=flower.gif] LL

Edited so I could spell Bonhoeffer's name correctly[sm=popsigh.gif]

Yes ... a thought occurred to me whilst reading the Bible.

I started to compile a list of sayings in the Old Testament which prophesy what will happen to Jesus. For example:

Psalm 22:8 - “You relied on the Lord,” they say. “Why doesn’t He save you? If the Lord likes you, why doesn’t he help you?”

Matthew 27:43 - “He trusts in God and claims to be God’s Son. Well then, let us see if God wants to save Him now!”

It clarified my mind how much of Jesus' life was predicted and prophesied centuries before His birth.

Psa 23:6 Your kindness and love will always be with me each day of my life, and I will live forever in your house, LORD.

Joh 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.

I know the plans I have for you," saith the Lord; "plans to prosper you and not to harm you and to give you a future and a hope."

I love what daisies4u wrote regarding the above text.
