If you have to have Windows but not Powerpoint, yes OpenOffice's Impress would most likely be the thing. If by not limited, you mean you can install it for free on as many computers as you like, then yes Impress is definitely not limited--it is free through and through. However, every time I have tried Open Office extensively, I have always regretted all my time put into it, and have inevitably returned to the world of Microsoft. There is one other solution--COrel makes an office suite that is supposedly a competitor to MS Office. It has a presentation program: http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/us/en/Product/1207676528492#tabview=tab1 HOwever, its not much cheaper than MS Office, and under certain circumstances (particularly if you are a student) can cost much more than MS Office 2007. If you want freeware, then Open Office is the way to go. EDIT: "cost" much more....edited for clarification
