I'll pm you how to make rice and peas. They are kidney beans but honestly, I hated kidney beans too until I had it in rice and peas.

That made me laugh so hard! Akeelah never really had stinky poops, just lots of it. The baby I look after has the stinkiest poops I have ever smelled, that I almost vomited the other day while changing the diaper.

The thing is, every day the mom feeds the baby plain yogurt. I can't stand plain yogurt. And because this baby eats so much of it, guess what her poops smell like...plain yogurt!!!

Ooooooh, got any pics?

I've just joined up online. They are supposed to email when another meet up is going to happen, so I haven't been to one yet, but am looking forward to it!

Well, speaking of poops - he just had the biggest, greenest poop ever! I thought they were usually only green if they were on formula... weird. LOL

He has been SO good today (not that he's ever bad) - I was able to go to Walmart and get a lot of housework done, so other than dinner and folding some laundry I'm just about done for the day!! Woo hoo!

I think you mean legumes? Lentils are a type of bean.

Yes ... LOL ... my 37 week preggy bain at work yet again ... anyone got a wall I can bang my head against??? Maybe it'd knock some of the sense back into me, rather than further out!

Lol! Has your soy allergic kiddo had any trouble with legumes? Supposedly they can be a common allergen but we haven't had any problems. ALTHOUGH, fingers crossed, I think Gabby's allergy is on it's way out the door! Wooohoo! She is still reacting to soy protein, but not to the soy lecithin anymore

Just so you know - I wasn't freaking out - I was just wondering if that was normal. Kwim?

Hey, Jae -- no, I didn't take it that you were freaking out, I just wanted to make sure people knew that I know the signs to look for and I'm not sitting here with a belly-bloated, writhing-in-agonizing-pain, constipated baby eating bon bons and watching soap operas while Junior swelled to dead-fish size, you know?

Our kid is now on Day 5 again. He'll get there, he is just so efficient in using what he has -- and I think in these growth spurty times they have even less waste because they need it all for growing.

Those are my theories anyway.

Mary was also very efficient at using up all her momma's milk. For a few months she only pooped once a week/week and a half. Those were the days!

No Ryanne ... the only "issues" he has with legumes are the issues raised with other people in the room when his 'cannon' goes off a few hours later ..... talk about room-clearing ability!!! And unfortunately for dd and myself, it's a trait inherited by every male in the family, dh and his dad are not exempt ... and with us about to have our 4th son .........

it can mean a few different things in BF babies. Could be what you ate, could be baby eating too much or too little of the different kinds of milk (foremilk and hindmilk). I could go into more details if you want me to, but basically those are the main reasons for green poop in BF babies.

that is great about Gabby!!!!

That's great about Gabby, Ryanne!

Chelsea/Jeanie: Jadon is on day four. He had the tiniest streak this morning, but that's it. He's happy so I'm happy. I am preparing myself for the big blow out though, lol.

Jae, Lincoln will usually have a tiny streak 12ish hours before the big event. It's my warning not to leave the house without a full pack of wipes and a just-in-case outfit.

Lincoln goes 5 days between BMs sometimes, but it's usually 3 days.

LOL Jae! Isn't the anticipation the worst? I know a monster poop is coming... but when!? Mary always seemed to do it when I was out so like Prudent I always had lots of wipes and extra outfits.

Prudent - I find it intriguing that Lincoln gave you a 12hourish warning. I am definitely watching that. How great would that be if Jadon did that too?! The 'scary' thing is that we'll be at a friends house for dinner tonight around that 12 hour mark. Interesting that we never get out but when we do it may coincide with the 'big blow out'.

Chelsea - is that picture your child or a picture you found? It is so adorable!

Lily- I'll be at the meet up called "Baby Pool Party in G-boro." on July 31. f it's not too far of a drive, you should come!!

David poops once every 2-3 days, but when he goes he REALLY goes!! He also likes to wait until I put a cloth diaper on him to poop.

Was heading to bed last night, got into the hallway and could SMELL Kenna Roses diaper through the door!!!! OH MY! You would have thought something died in her diaper! And, of course, she apparently did it early in the evening and then slept in it for a few hours... never making a peep. So there I was at 11:00 at night with wet washcloths wiping nasty dried poop off her legs cause it had all smooshed out one side of her diaper! YUCK!

Must say that it made me think of all you ladies and reminded me to pray for each of you before going to sleep. God uses the funniest things sometimes

Happy Birthday Jack and Justice!!!

Akeelah's new favourite word is "Elmo." The other night at Bible Study we brought an Elmo book with us (before we realized she could say the word). Since Elmos picture is on every page, all heard during the study was "Elmo. Elmo. Elmo. Woof woof. Elmo. Elmo." (The woof woof because there was dogs on one page.)

I guess I'll have to start selecting her reading material for church more carefully, so she isn't too loud while reading!!!

That's funny, Lexie

Isabel picks up most of her vocab from her brother. It's amazing. He sings all the time (so does she, but most of hers doesn't sense, LOL). Lately she's been singing "Winkle, winkle, winkle!" over and over. She's trying to sing Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star.
