Just a great praise report here. My 15 yr old son got saved last night during our revival. We've prayed and worried about him for quite a while now but God moved in a powerful way all week and topped it off last night! But we're not through pray that the 5 churches involved with this revival will continue with the fire God has put in our hearts this week.

Sorry about late response but I had to leave for Bryson City NC shortly after the original post. It actually took place at Washington Avenue Baptist Church in Cleveland Tennessee. That is our Home Church.

Just received an email from a friend that our pastor's wife, Jeannie Davis, was riding her bike this weekend in Cades Cove, fell and injured her back. Please remember her in your prayers. Will post more tomorrow.

The church I used to go to sponsors the "Olympic Bible Project." This project started when the Olympics came to Atlanta in 1996 and has continued to every Olympics game since. A large group from all over the United States goes and shares the gospel and gives out individual books of the Bible, the most popular one being the book of John. This weekend they were detained by the Police for a few hours. It shook some of the group members up, but they are still going out witnessing. I'm asking for special prayers of protection for them. They are definitely NOT going to stop what they went to do, but now they all have a better understanding of the dangers in China.

Please pray for the Ballon family, Sherry was a missionary whose battle with cancer ended last week. She was predeceased by her husband who had served with her for many years on the mission field. Her parents had been her care givers over the last several months. Pray the Lord will give comfort and peace.

yea...I have been to Cades Cove several times...alot of embankments and tricky places there...praying that God will touch her

Mrs. Davis is in our prayers. She is the wife of the fine pastor that Santa's church stole from FBM.
Mrs. Kerrlaw and I have been through Cades Cove by car, by motorcycle, and by foot (all eleven miles). We took our bicycles once, but it rained.

First, I just learned that my DIL and son are going to give me my second grandchild!!

I come back once again asking for prayer. On Monday August 25th I will be having outpatient surgery on my left eye that has been bad for several weeks. The lazer surgery did not do its job & the sight did not return, so they will have to go into the eye & do a different surgery. The doctor assured me it sounded worse than it really is, but when they mess with my eye I don't like that at all. Also I have been having trouble with my allergies. Would you, please, pray that they go away.
