I just received a call from Qtman. They got a call at 6:30 this morning that Diane's dad, Monroe Nunley, is not doing well at all. They need your immediate prayers for Mr. Nunley and all their family at this time.
Not sure that we ever posted that Diane's mom did go home from the hospital mid-week and was doing ok.
So lots going on for Diane and her family and they would appreciate your prayers. So glad that we headed home yesterday so they would be closer when they got the call.

Charles Key longtime pianist for the Harmoneers Quartet, SGMA Hall of Fame recipient and Georgia Music Hall of Fame Honoree, has been diagnosed with pelvic cancer. Mr. Key had his first chemo treatment this past Thursday and will continue this schedule on a weekly basis. Please add Charles to your prayer list

Mrs. C. received a call from Mrs. Qtman a few minutes ago. They were on the way home for now. Her dad is still not doing well and could be just a matter of time before his passing. But the Lord knows for sure when it is his time. We continue to pray for Diane's dad and entire family.

I appreciate the prayers from everyone. Please continue to keep Diane and her family in your daily prayers. It appears her dad is bleeding internally and they don't know where it is coming from. It seems he is slowly slipping away. In my opinion it is just a matter of time. Maybe this weekend maybe a little longer. I just don't see how he can continue this way.

A friend gave me a report with Stats showing that 4,153,237 people got married last year. Now I don't want to start any trouble but I can't help but wonder. Shouldn't that be an even number?

I was talking with Ernie Phillips sister tonight. He is having some serious health problems and needs out prayers. Fluid is building around his heart & liver. He is in the hospital after some surgery. Lois asked if we would continue to remember Ernie in our prayers at this time.

I suppose my request is rather selfish, but I would appreciate your prayers anyway. I awoke with severe spasms in my lower back and can hardly move without pain. Satan is not keeping me home from church this morning, but I would appreciate it if you would mention my name when you say your prayers this morning. God Bless!

An update on my daughter:
Jessica got out of her third stint in a treatment facility (for anorexia) right after Easter and immdiately embarked on a major weight loss campaign. 5 weeks later, she collapsed and was admitted to the hospital, where they decided she was a danger to herself and tried to have her committed to a state hospital. She talked the psyciatrist into letting her move to Alabama to start a new life living and working with some of her cousin(s). She has been there 14 weeks and is down to 80 pounds again and has really worn out her welcome there. They all want to help her, but they have now learned how incredibly resistant she is to any kind of help and how difficult it is to have to just sit and watch her die.
So today, we are moving her back here, which she hates, and sees as a failure, the "end of her life." We have told her that if she gets to a healthy weight, she can move back to AL, enroll at UNA, live in the dorm, work for her cousin, IOW have a life. What we expect to happen instead is that she declines here to the point that she dies or gets so sick we go back to the hospital and she is committed this time.
I try not to get discouraged, to trust God, to understand that this is so much harder on my wife than on me (she is home with her every day and Jessi really knows how to push her buttons). Recovery is a long and difficult process, with ups and downs. We borrowed $80,000 for her last treatment, and she owes $15,000 in medical bills from her last hospitalization. She is an adult now and no longer on our insurance, so the state seems to be our only option.
Y'all keep praying for her OK? I know God has something for her, although I can't tell what yet. The rest of the family are great otherwise, doing well despite GUSTAV. Now, let's see what IKE is up to ...............
