Mr. Wintery, don't answer this if it's none of my (and the world at large) business but why are you only getting 4 1/2 hours of sleep a night? That's not enough!

Oh, that's no big mystery. No tantalizing on that. It just worked out that way. A big thunderstorm with many nearby cloud-to-ground lightning strikes kept me awake the Friday night and then Saturday I was working until midnight and didn't finally crash until about 2 a.m. and I still had to get up early again.

and i remember back in the day when i was working 3 jobs and not getting more than 4 or maybe 5 hours of sleep. i couldn't keep that pace up for long, only a couple of years and then it started really wearing me down.

get some sleep wintery! you need it.

I do have a full and a part-time job.

One of my college professors, who was about to retire after that summer term, told us that there was no reason anyone needed more than six hours sleep and really five would do. He said we wasted too much of life sleeping.

He said many interesting things. How funny that it was a literature class.

He would have changed his tune after seeing me on a week of only 6 hrs of sleep a night.

Me too Lioness. I get along fine on 4 hours of sleep. The people around me though is another story.

thought about you today wintery, as i am craving a chik-fil-a. we don't have them here, but i'm craving it.

would love a chicken sandwich, and do they still have those waffle fry thingies? it's been a long time since i've been to one.

Go to the menu and select side items and then waffle fries--you'll love the picture!

Would you like me to FedEx a large Waffle Fry to you?

Just in case anyone was wondering, "Was there an earthquake near me this week?"

Bookmark the map for later reference.

Whooooeeeee!!! I just went for a big ride on my office chair. There was a 5.8 earthquake centered about 90 miles from here just a few minutes ago.

ETA: I love Chik-Fil-A!!!

Yeah, it was quite a jolt...actully it was more of the rolling variety here, but my (ex) husband who owns a store in L.A, said the enitre store made a huge "cracking sound"...he jumped up so fast, he wrenched his back. Since he was in the center of that 6.7 Northridge Quake several years ago, earthquakes absolutely freak him out.

Numerous small quakes have followed in the last hour. I'm glad you're all right.

Hey Elastic!! Good to see you too...thanks so much for your prayers.

I still, to this very day, have not stepped foot into a WalMart. My daughter used to shop there once in a while, but has taken an oath not to return because every time she was in that store she witnessed someone committing child abuse...what's up with that?

Brad could try the McDonalds Southern Fried chicken sandwich (if the NY McDonalds have it). I love Chick-fil-a, but can't tell much difference in the McDonalds version.

No waffle fries though.

"within 50 miles"

"within" dude. Some may be closer than others.

BTW, dude's sermons are good, but I'm not driving 550 miles for them...

My carrot salad is a plate of shredded carrots with Catalina drowning them.
