I just read the MySpace thread. I've had people say similar things to us. Please show me in the Bible where it says we are not to shelter our children. (It's not there, I've checked ) That kind of worldly "wisdom" is unfortunately rampant even in churches.

Yeah, that poster is 23 and has supposedly been married, divorced, had children, been remarried, is now a full time youth pastor and in college

Thanks. I hope it makes the conversation better.
ETA: But I seriously doubt she will answer my questions.

She replied ... one child, age 5 ... I didn't notice if she answered the rest of your questions ... but I'm thinking she might change her mind as her child gets a bit older ....... (if not, I feel kinda bad for the child ...)

My word....I just read her reply. I'm speechless (and a little sickened). I can't think of something to post that isn't extreme right now.

To me she really sounds like a kid who had a kid ... but that's just my opinion ... (and I say this after having read most of her posts in several threads)

Oh my ... dh is watching country music vids on YouTube ... I'm gonna be singing Alan Jackson and Garth Brooks songs all night!!!

I couldn't help myself after reading her worldly comment. I asked her how her belief reconciles with what the Bible says?

She said something earlier about liking to mix the Bible with reality. As if the Bible isn't reality.
Her posts don't match anyway. If you go through and read all she has said, it doesn't add up.

I wouldn't be expecting her to reply any time soon ... based on her opinions/comments in one particular thread, she attracted the attention of a mod. (Sorry in advance if saying that equals discussing mod decisions in the forums ... it's just a general observance)

Anywho, I'm totally beat ... I'm heading to bed (especially since the wee ones like waking up before the sun rises!)

Me too! I was going to point out last night that in one post she said that both she & her husband were raised to make their own decisions & then in another post she said her husband was raised in a "strict Christian" house & rebelled against that. But I was too tired last night to get my thoughts coherent!

Well, I almost got the kitchen cleaned yesterday. I only have to clean out the fridge & sweep/mop and it'll be done! Of course, the fridge really needs cleaning, so it may take a while! We have nowhere to go today!!

All I can say is "wow!" about that MySpace thread! I am glad that you guys are standing on the truth and the word and that we are not to be worldy... it is not always easy to stand up to someone, but maybe it will start to seep into her heart.

There are some people, that post on here, that we ought not take too seriously, as I think some of them are purposefully trying to cause a stir. We usually call them trolls. Putting a lot of energy into answering trolls is pointless, as they are only trying to cause problems and upset people, not to actually take heed to truth.

I sent Cynthia most of the discrepencies that I have seen, but I thought it was funny that she kept saying they had multiple kids..but then when asked, she only said there was one.

I slept in this morning and the boys took themselves to swim and back. Nate left me a note, it was so cute (and correctly spelled!).

I feel so lazy, though, since it's after ten and I am still in my nightgown!

It is 11:43, as I type this. I am in my pajamas. However, I cleaned the bathroom, took a shower, organized the bathroom (as in going through all the junk and tossing old/expired, never used stuff) and had to put my pj's back on, since I hadn't brought my clothes in there with me. Now I am checking forums and headed to find something cool enough to wear.

Well, I am showered and dressed now, lol. I can't do work in my pajamas...I don't know why, so I never get anything done until I am showered and dressed.

Brandon just requested a NAP! I told him he could take 2 hours.

A couple weeks ago he made me tuck him into bed. Boy had it been a long time, lol.

I am glad it's Wednesday!

Schuyler fell asleep on my lap last night. Not entirely on my lap as, at age 7, she is as tall as Nate was 18 months ago! We know this because she wore his Gi, lol. But she was too tired to join class so instead she curled up on the chair next to me, leaned over onto my lap, and konked out. It was so sweet...it's been such a long time.

Goodness! I was up at 5:25 (alarm set for 5:30...), in the fishbowl at 6:15. Swam 2000yds. By 7:30 I was out for a ride. "Forgot" to turn around, so my ride was longer than it was supposed to be. Back home by 9:30.

As far as housework. Nada. Okay, I got two loads of laundry folded. That's it. But I've been busy all day. I just have nothing to show for it!

It's a nice bright and sunny day. Perfect day to give the dogs a BATH!

day?

up and dressed by 9:30am checked the forums email and phone messages. Looked over the new quickly then went in and took some photos of the kids goofing around. Listened to Trill and Triss each play a song or two on Trill's new harp(29 strings a decent sized instrument) then went and watched a chick flick with the girls as the boys took over the world on CIV 3.

Jerry called during the movie to ask if I noticed anything amiss around the house- NOPE! obviously I had not been outside. he had to take the girls car to work because he had a flat AND his spare was flat as well. So he had me make Jared loose the spare and after the movie was over I packed Jared and the tire up and headed for town. They said they could fix it in an hour so I took jared and went to the bank and then to McD's and then the salvation army- I found a handfull of taper candle holders for 19 cent each and then a pair of NICE timberland boots for 2.99 and a BIG old Beauti Control makeup bag that looked A LOT like a camera bag for another 2.99.

The boots don't fit Jeremiah but almost fit JD so he got them. I am going to use the big beauti control bag for my "leave behind" camera storage so my back pack is lighter. SURE most of it fits in the back pack but Ooooo it is Soooo heavy! We could have used the taper candle holders this last week as the power went out twice and we had plenty of candles BUT no candle holders.

The Tire is fixed and I am obviously home now. My children asked where we would be attending church tonight- I told them and they asked if said church wasn't doing VBS this week- I don't think so, I think they start this weekend. I hope they start this weekend. We want to try our a Wednesday night- we know that is normally the core group.

YES, that means we are DONE at the "Brass Plaque Social Club"!

Hmm ... since you appear to be super highly motivated to clean and organize today, shall I PM you my address??? LOL ... I barely have the energy to unload the dishwasher, nevermind cleaning a whole room!!! I can't wait for this babe to be on the outside rather than on the inside zapping my energy (and making it impossible to reach my feet / the floor)

Well, I still need to mop the kitchen, but my fridge is nice & clean and all of the old food is gone! There was actually a lot less than I thought in there!

I just got a call from the GYN clinic saying my occult stool came back positive. I couldn't get out of the girl what that meant so I looked it up online & I guess it's blood in my stool. I told the doc that I thought I had hemorrhoids, but she said she didn't see any. Now, I have to drive up to the base to get some home tests (oh joy ) and not eat red meat or anything with red dye in it. I am a bit worried & feeling really yucky now anyway. Dh has a retirement dinner tonight (it was $15 per person or something like that, so I chose not to go & I don't like to go that far away at night with the kids here at home anyway). I wish he was home. It's gloomy out & we've had storms on & off this afternoon. Then, of course, the kids just got in a fight over who hit who on purpose or not with a dog toy. So, they are in their rooms. Sigh
