OK. Its Attack of the Super Hero Movies in the theaters. In the past 10 years or so, we've seen a swarm of new movies come out that are based on popular (and even not-so-popular/well-known) super hero comics. I've included several choices below from RECENT (as in, within the past 10 years) super heroes and hero teams who have made it to the big screen. Which one do you feel Hollywood and the comics companies have done the best job of bringing out of the paper pages and onto the big screen?

NOTE: When I say "done the best job," I mean in making a good movie, while still staying as true as possible true to the original comic?

So does your ten year limit eliminate the Christopher Reeves Superman movies? They get my vote, even if the special effects aren't up to today's standards. I voted "Other" because of the ten years.

You can interpret it as you want. I only put shows up that were recent, due to the ages of people who might be reading this.

With your list, Iron Man hands down.

Batman Dark Knight series would be second.

The NEW Hulk gets third while Spidey brings up the end because of how AWFUL the 3rd movie was. AWFUL.

If I knew more of the Blade comic history I may throw him in there, but I don't really... but I do LOVE the first and 2nd in that series. I adore Ron Perlman in anything though and Wesley is easy on the eyes all beefed up.

I went with Iron Man. It met or surpassed all of my expectations, which were considerable.

I am not a comic book person, so my vote may not even really count. But Iron Man is by far my favorite.

The Hulk: Gay.
Iron Man: I have yet to see it.
Batman: Ew.
Spider-man: First one was alright. I don't even remember the second. Third one was demeaning to my intelligence. Mary Jane is still a bimbo.
The X-Men: I have yet to see it either.
Blade: Vampires. Swearing. Vampires. Swearing. Rinse, lather, repeat. Yawn.
Superman: I haven't fully seen the new one, but it lacked from what I did see.
The Fantastic Four: First one was ok. Second would've not sucked had they ran with Silver Surfer more.
Daredevil: Ben Affleck? No good.

My vote goes to 300.

Within the past ten years, I'm going with Spider-man as my choice.

Earlier than ten years, Batman w/Michael Keaton and Superman w/Christopher Reeve are my favorites for those characters. Though I do want to see the upcoming Batman with Heath Ledger's creepy Joker, Keaton will always remain as the quintessential Dark Knight for me.

The X-Men was rather good, too. Hmmm... Wolverine... [;)]

I have to go with Iron Man.

The Batman movies have all done a fairly good job of capturing the mood and pace of the comic books. The others were so so.

Voted for Spider-man, though could just as easily have voted for Batman after the last movie.

The Hulk is a homosexual?

I had no idea.

Anyways, I vote for Nolan's Batman.

Iron Man was OK, but overrated. It's plot was by the numbers, and the product placement was amongst the most gratuitous and jarring of any film I've seen EVER.

I think Superhero movies are running their course.

The studios are basically scraping the bottom of the barrel now, as all the major comics stars have already been done.

Do we really need a Thor movie, for example?

Of course not, but Marvel has already done their big names, so Thor is all that's left.

I think the studios are pressing their luck, though.

People are going to tire of superheros eventually.

Iron-man, kept perfectly with the spirit of comics, plus a great movie

I have to disagree with last poster though, I think super-hereos have, are and always will be in vouge withe public. There is something about a hero that attracts people.
