I've rented a car to go on a weekend long trip because the cost of the rental and gas was less than if I had taken my vehicle. Also, my mileage is so high (25000 km in less than a year) and if I keep doing this much driving, my warranty will run out in soon.

Fortunately I teach, so I don't have to drive much at all during the summer months. I'll share your pain come mid-August, though.
