If you've ever seen the full color version, it's a gray tabby kitten sleeping on a pillow. My cat looked just like the one in that picture when she was young

Here is a picture of that logo. It takes a couple seconds to load the whole page. Here is the story behind the logo.

There is game called Rail Baron that I love to play. Reading the article about the C&O an B&O brought a hard longing to get a game up. I love that era of railroading.

Well ... we do indeed have silly pets.

I keep looking for a puppy-dog smiley for my posts ... but alas there are only kitties to be found.

I may have shared this a while ago ... but do not know for sure, so I tell the story (maybe again) ...

Linus is an epileptic, and is blind and disoriented after a seizure, and for some reason will walk in circles the first 30 minutes after he recovers from one. I once awoke at 4 in the morning to a crash in the kitchen. I got up to find out what happened and found the kitchen table "walking" around knocking over all the chairs. Apparently he had a seizure under the table and got up to walk around afterward (his shoulder is a few inches her than the top of the table). He also does not seem to remember these things ... so looking back, knowing he was ok, it was rather a funny sight to see.

My mom's puppy licks the lotion off our hands, arms, and legs after we apply it. He loves it for some reason.

One of my cats often won't eat after I pour food into her bowl unless I stand and watch her for a minute or two. She'll take a couple of bites, turn and check to see if I'm looking, and then resume eating.

Ok, this is going back to childhood...

We had 1 budgie, 2 cats and a dog. By mistake, we let the budgie out of his cage while the cats were in the room. It flew around and landed on the back of the sofa, where my sister's cat was perched. It walked up to the cat and started to peck it's toes. The cat backed up and the budgie kept advancing until the cat simply fell off the end of the sofa!

The cats would sit on our dining room chairs and attack the dog from them.

The dog (it was a rotwiller x by the way) used to pick our feet up as we were walking and try to run away with them!

My sister's cat could also open the fridge. My mother put some wood down the side, so he couldn't and he learnt to open it from the bottom. She put a brick infront of the door and he learnt to claw it out of the way. She tied some elastic to the door and put a nail in the piece of wood and looped it over.

He learnt to look up and see whether the elastic was on before attempting to open the door.

If he managed to succeed in opening the door, he would leave it open and the dog would proceed to empty it!

My woolley child is a six and a half year old spoodle (spaniel/poodle cross). He's my real delight. He gives love so freely. He's the closest I'll ever have to having my own child. Mind you, I think, if he were human, he could think about marrying me. I'm definitely his favourite person in our household.

And what would your answer be?

He sounds like a very sweet pooch.

Okay...hope it's okay I post about the quirkiness of my two boys although they are no longer with me. This month is the anniversary month of when I lost both of them (almost exactly a year apart from each other) so I've been thinking of them a lot.

Buckwheat used to have this weird thing he used to like to do. He liked to get right up to either a wall or an archway and jump as high as he could and slide down on his belly. Archways worked the best but he still went for the walls sometimes.

And he never killed a mouse on purpose. He would only play with them until the poor little thing died of heart failure and then it wasn't fun anymore so he'd just leave it.

And I think Alfalfa was afraid of the boogyman. I had a couch once that stood a little bit off the floor and he would always act like something was going to reach out and grab him. He was the same way with beds. And if his food or water dish was too close to a corner he would pull it out away from the corner with his paw......guess he didn't want the boogyman poking him on the head while he was eating.

Karen, is the blindness temporary?

God bless Linus.

Yes it is ... and he always insists on wondering about afterwards ... bumping into things! It usually lasts an hour or two, but he has had some "doosies" where the blindness lasted a few days. He's definitely not the brightest star in the universe ... but is very sweet. Right now he's being a lap-dog ... his big ol' head covers my entire lap while I recline on the chair ... with all four feet on the floor ... he can rest his chin on the kitchen counter while in a stiing position!

He's a very sweet boy. Protective, affectionate, loving, loyal, trusting. In human years he'd be just a bit older than me. He's a lot more sporting than me, but I think he'd be happy. I just love spending time with him. Definitely a keeper.

last name as i'm going to bed, i almost trip over something in the kitchen. i look down and the big water dispenser was in the middle of the floor. apparently the cats dragged it there thinking i needed a hint. a hint that it needed refilling. that explains the unexpected meow from cat #1. maybe it only meows when it's dehydrating?

I could send Scout over he does the opposite and will last least carry things to the trash although I he hasn't mastered putting things in the trash (yet).

I love reading about everyone's crazy pets. I don't have any pets, yet my kids do some crazy things. Took my kids to work with me today. My son decided to hide behind the door to scare his sister. He wasn't far enough back. She swung the door open and BAM! whacked him in the head. He was fine but it was soooo funny the way he looked stunned!!

Bailey loves to chase tennis balls. He'll run and run and run after them until he can't run any more. Give him about thirty seconds rest and he's at it again. Anybody who'll throw the ball to him is his new best friend. As long as he sees them come out the back door with one of our household, it's a potential friend. (He's not allowed into the house as the people we rent the house from won't let pets inside).

When he gets excited, he winds his tail up really fast, and you wonder if he's got enough power for him to turn into a helicopter and take off. LOL!
