I secretly regret naming my son Jadon. I honestly wonder if that really should be his name, but that's null and void. It is his name simple as that. That name is so popular now. Girls even have that name. The only redemptive thing for me is that we spelled it with an "O" which is not popular at all.

I'm glad you said that...I secretly wish I would have named Jimmy "Robert Jeffery" instead of "Robert James". Jeff is my dad's middle name that he goes by. I felt bad about feeling that way until you said something. But, the cool thing is that Jimmy and Timmy rhyme.

Yes the neat thing is the rhyming of Jimmy and Timmy ... that'll also end up being what bugs you most ... I can almost guarantee it! Our 2nd and 3rd both have J names, and quite often I end up saying "Jocob, Jaseph, WHOEVER YOU ARE ... sit down and behave!" The names just have a way of getting jumbled together.

Oh Janine ... my neice is a Jaden ... And her cousin is a Jaren ... they get jumbled all the time, too!

Honestly? I am exhausted, in pain, and ready for this baby to come OUT!! I have no appetite at all, I'm nauseous all the time, and I am having to make myself eat a little bit every few hours. My due date is Monday, but I have a feeling I will go over that. Thanks for thinking of me and the prayers.

Kim-I was wide awake until 2:30 and then woke up every hour to go pee. Getting in and out of bed is incredibly painful. If I am still too long (like when I am sleeping) everything kind of locks up. I am getting those awful charlie horse cramps in my hips!! Ouch!!

I think Saturday would be a great day to have a baby. His birthday would be 06-07-08!!

LOL - I never thought of that!! That would be awesome! If we had ours on Saturday, we would all have birthdays on the 7th of the month - me in March, Brad in August, and baby in June.

Yeah - I was awake at LEAST every hour turning over in bed and trying to crack my hips. I only pee once a night, but the turning was killer. Poor hubby. I think he got a terrible sleep too!

Emily....just remember that every body and every baby has a different amount of time they need to be in there. Due dates are only estimations of the average time....which means quite a few go "over" quite often. Keep hanging in there...I know how that feels (it sucks)...but it is all worth it. Did you pick a date in the future that he will definitely be here by to think about or look towards? That really helps me.

Chris sleeps like a rock. Sometimes at night I find myself feeling really angry at him because he is sleeping soundly and snoring and I am wide a wake and in pain. Of course, he has to get up at 5:00 and go to work and I am home all day, so I really am glad he can sleep, but I'm not very rational at 3 am.

3 AM is *not* a time to be rational!!! David will come though, Em, you will be holding him within a matter of weeks. You're doing great, and you can do this!

Emily - LOL! Yup, 3am is Not a rational time! Just think... at least, for the moment, you don't have a screaming baby waking you at 3am for a feeding

I think I would rather have a screaming baby waking me at 3am for a feeding. At least then I will have a reason to be up at that time. I will have a baby who needs me to provide for him keeping me up instead of pain keeping me up.

That's a good way to think about it Emily. Just switch that around a little bit for now...you ARE providing for the baby. The pain is miserable and wakes you up, but you have the pain because you are already being a great mama and cooking that little baby until he is perfectly ready to come out. Hang in there, girl. no signs of labor yet. My midwife said if nothing is happening by next Friday (40 weeks 4 day) we will talk about trying natural induction techniques.

That was mine and I want better more effective ones!!! Well, no, I want her to get here when she will get here and yet I want her here now and yet I want Jer to get a few more days in at work and yet I don't care anymore and they can deal with him missing. I'm very fluctuating in my wants right now. I got one thing I wanted.. a cheese and mustard sandwhich at 4 am. Now it's back to bed.

hehe.

It's weird that it's only 5 am here and you guys are all up and awake. But most of you are past 8 am already.

LOL
actually it's not quite 7am here....I got up cause Emma was crowding my bed and making hubby move closer to me...which was pushing on my HUGE in the way belly and making me nauseas. I don't know why she is in our bed....she must have woke up crying or something or come to our bed...usually if a baby wakes in the night I find hubby on the couch with them...unless of course they need me to nurse them...then he brings them to me.

As far as fluctuating feelings....I find that I go into labor after I have gone through the whole I WANT THE BABY HERE NOW bit and get back to being OK with being pregnant for a lot longer...lol. Weird, but that's always how it works out

I really hope the baby is here by next Sunday so Chris can be a daddy by Father's day.

Here are the things we have tried that haven't worked yet:

Walking
"Alone time" with DH (my hip pain is getting worse every day so this is getting more difficult)
Eating lots of pineapple
I have been taking EPO and RRL tea capsules for a few weeks.
I also scrubbed the living room carpet on my hands and knees the other day

So far, no mucus plug, no contractions, and no baby!!

Lurker

I constantly lurk in the pregnancy threads and love to follow the mom's to be. Maybe you will have your little one on fathers day!! I was a fathers day baby, my mom told everyone from the beginning I was going to be her gift to my dad, and sure enough at 1122 fathers day night I was born. I was a good gift I guess! Maybe david will be a fathers day baby too?!

You will not be pregnant forever.

Just thought you might want to hear that today.

(((((((((((((((((((((Emily))))))))))))))))))))))))

Hey! Maybe if we all squeeze you hard enough, David will decide he wants more room and come out!
