Why do you keep saying insulting things about liberals?

I suggest you become patriotic and love your next president who will be a LIBERAL!

Most liberals want unrestrained war on the unborn. 50 million dead and they still haven't found one abortion they'd like to ban. That includes every single Democrat that ran for President this time around.

I'm actually starting to enjoy these non-sequiturs- they're so desperately off-topic (on a certain topic) that they're hilarious.

But the truth that ljmac seems to ignore is that the Republicans are in on a huge conspiracy with the aliens to invade the planet and kill all the humans. So 250 trillion deaths/year from abortion might be bad, but the six quadrillion that the Republicans are planning in their alien conspiracy are even worse.

How did you find out? I thought we kept that secret pretty well. Must be a Democrat mole in here.

NYC, Don't pretend you enjoy my posts about liberals and their love affair with abortion. You made up stuff about my posts and then called to have me censored.

GWB said nothing out of line. Obama is weak on terrorism and he doesn't want anyone to point it out. He's a liberal. How could he be anything but weak? They want to tell our enemies our plans, undo our spy network and give them lawyers to get out of prison.

And of course you have nothing to back up any of these assertions. All you got is the old mantra liberals are weak.

Thanks to this Republican administration, our ground combat forces are at a less ready state than they have been since post Vietnam. And thanks to this administration, our forces are embroiled in a conflict that does not make us any safer. The fact is, attacking Iraq made Iran stronger and strengthened the ideological appeal of Al Qaeda.

I prefer an administration that puts analysis and reason above fear based actions that give people a false sense of security. If McCain continues with his fear based argument, he certainly will loose my vote.

I'm not going to prove to you that the earth is round. The left has repeatedly tried to block spy programs. They insist that we broadcast our withdrawal plans. They want lawyers for terrorists at Gitmo. Do you not read the paper? This is standard stuff.

You tell us that our military is weak, stuck in a worthless effort, Al Queda is strengthened, and we're not any safer. You then accuse others of using a "fear based argument." Take some of your own advice.

Not only does the left tell us that the military is weak, but that it is also evil and that it is the last resort for dummies and misfits. They also don't say how much Slick Willy decimated the military in order to balance the budget.

It's not fear but fact. Our military is weakened by a war that was never properly resourced.

This Republican administration has repeatedly undermined our military and made some of the biggest strategic errors in our nation's recent history.

This is not the party of Ronald Reagan...who vowed NEVER to send in our military into a country with out an exit strategy or undersize our armed forces.

How about then, we don't want to win.

As I said, I never wrote "we don't want to win."

If you want to debate further, come over to the Iraq war thread and you can define what a win would be in Iraq.

My point remains...this administration has done more to weaken our ground combat forces than any administration since the Viet Nam war.

So when do we pull out, ljmac? How many thousands of our best and brightest, how many Iraqi civilians have to be killed before you say enough is enough?

And before you say that I don't consider the solidiers, I do. I babysat for one who is serving with her husband in Iraq. About a month ago, she was lucky enough to be on leave so that she could come back to the states to have a baby shower. I talked to her, her parents - long friends of mine - her parents AND many others want the war to stop; and they find it ironic that the VERY people who decided this war do not have sons, daughters over in Iraq. Before you answer with your war rhetoric, please consider their views, views that continue to grow.

Peace and God bless,

President Bush ordered our troops to invade Iraq. It is not Clinton's fault that this President did not take our current force structure into account when he came up with his post 9-11 strategy. As part of the decision, the Commander and Chief should follow the advice of his senior military commanders who advised the force was not large enough to secure the country (following the initial invasion). Instead, this President's Secretary of State IGNORED this advice. Additionally, this President refused to increase the size of our combat forces until after Rumsfeld was out (another decision that came too late). Also this President has never been straight forward with the long term costs of this war (year after year they include war funding outside the standard budget).

So yes, President Bush is responsible for sending in our troops into an ill-advised and under resourced war.

When did wing2000 say that he didn't want the US to win, ljmac? He didn't.

And if you say it's because he wants the US to pull out of Iraq - there are many soldiers and soldiers families that want us to pull out of Iraq - are you saying that they don't want us to win, then? And please answer with a simple yes or no.

Thank you in advance, Peace and God bless,

Who is saying that we can't win? Please get direct quotes where people are saying this.

I babysat for a girl who is served in Iraq with her husband. Currently they are in Fort Hood and will be redeployed to Iraq. They, their families; and many other soldiers and their families want the US to pull out of Iraq. Do you feel that they do not want us to win as well, because they want to pull out of Iraq?

The Sunnis, Shiites and Kurds have been fighting each other for over 400 years and mostly over different interpretations of their Islamic faith. If you believe the American military is going to somehow get these three tribal factions to hold hands and sing kum-ba-yah and thus declare victory in a newly formed American-style democracy, you're drinking way too much grape juice.

Al Quaida didn't even have a significant presence in Iraq until GWB's invasion. Iraq is now being used as a recruiting tool for terrorists. While we can't get leave Iraq with the mess President Bush leaves behind, it would be irresponsible of us not to question what efforts being made to end this.

This war has killed more American men and women than died on 9/11 -- and even sadder is the fact that President Bush tabled going after Osama Bin Laden and those responsible for 9/11 in a failed attempt to look like a war hero.

I am the father of 2 boys 6 and 8 years old. I don't want MY sons sacrificing their lives for this war. How many more American sons and daughters have to be sacrificed for this war?

Except that you not address the rest of Evangel70's post...

Peace and God bless,

Let me give you some good advice about debates. Don't ask questions, especially in accusatory, smug tones, if you don't know the answer yourself.

Harry Reid said, "This war is lost, and this surge is not accomplishing anything, as is shown by the extreme violence in Iraq this week." There are others too. And if they haven't said so as clearly as Reid, they've pretty much all said that they want to leave now, which is the same thing terrorists want. Democrats agree with the enemy.

Here is the link. http://english.aljazeera.net/NR/exeres/E37E4CB2-622B-445C-A96C-C7B79219CB70.htm Observe the source. Harry was speaking directly to the terrorists. Just be patient, you'll have Iraq and can murder as many as you want as soon as Democrats are in charge. You know all those people who've been helping the Americans? Sharpen your swords. A lot of heads are gonna roll.
