Okay, explain how Jim Crow still exists: Where can you find white-only restrooms, water fountains, seating in restaurants, buses, cinemas, etc. and other legal segregation?? Say, isn't one one of the top candidates this year in a major political party black? Was there a special exemption clause in Jim Crow to permit him on the ballot in all 57 states?

As far as 300 years, slaves were freed about 145 years ago and Jim Crow was buried about 40 years ago. Can we expect another 155 - 260 years of angry, unforgiving, sensitive black people????

The anger has not been vindicated yet. Havent made up for the 300 plus years yet.

Wait till 300 years have passed and then we can talk.

Anger? Vindicated??? Where is God in all this? Sorry...did you notice you stepped into a Christian website? I'm certainly happy I don't have to worry about Jesus vindicating His anger! Oooo...2000 years...that would be a BIG chip on His shoulder, wouldn't it??? And we would ALL deserve that!

I agree that the black race has reason to be offended...sorry if that's not a hate-filled enough word for you, but I choose it for a reason. But when do we get to get over this? When do we get to go on with life? When do we get to see a Christ-like example of forgiveness, compassion, obedience, anything?

I know you have heard this but I'm gonna say it again: I have never owned any slaves. Neither did my parents. Neither did my two sets of grandparents. Neither did my 4 sets of great-grandparents nor my 8 sets of great-great-grandparents. Not a single penny or square foot of land has passed down to me. By the time I was in college, in the military, and civilian life, blacks competed equally with me for positions. I confess to having used the "N word" and other epithets in my youth but have not done so since I was at least 15. I have never intentionally mistreated any man, woman, or child - for any reason. And when I was laid off from a job I'd worked at for almost 25 years, my fair hair and light skin gave me no advantages - and I didn't expect or ask for any.

I do not owe you anything - financial, emotional, or otherwise - more than any other human being on planet earth. If you want wealth and fame, you'll have to earn like anyone else in Minnesota. And you don't have 300 years to get either.

And do you think that blacks that hate whites are not racist?

Thanks
RC

I know you didn't ask me this question, but...yep...blacks that hate whites are NOT racists! Blacks are entitled to hate whites! Whites deserve the hatred of blacks! Don't you know? Whites have caused every bad thing that's ever happened in the whole world from the beginning of time!

How was that?

G-D will have His vengence. that I believe.

This is a Christian website? Are you sure? I'm looking for Christians also, know any? LOL.

Because I can show you where some Christians say it is ok to be racist!

Jimbo, THATS's YOU.

Robert F. Lee did not support slavery but he fought on the wrong side of the WAR.

I have plenty of money. Don't want wealth or fame. Did'nt need 300 years to get it.

none of that prevents from saying this is racist and this country is.

I don't know if she was or not. My Dad told me he walked 12 miles to school each way in the snow and that it was uphill both ways. Was he lying to me, or just trying to make a point.

Thanks

any hate toward a certain group of people because of color is racists, but I think some of my people who have hatred toward whites stems from unresolved tension that dates back for decades if not a couple of centuries of violence, hatred, and betrayel. History shows that I should be angry and I should have resentment, but I don't. The only resentment I have is that people don't recognize that these events occurred and that this people of color vs. white conflict could be somewhat resolved if points of view and people experiences is not marginalized to overreacting.

It's Robert E. Lee.

So, how'd this terrible, racist nation end up with a black front-runner for President - are only blacks voting for him?

So are you calling her a liar? Do you know her to say that she is lying to me to make a point?
My mom is a devout Christian woman and has been for at least 50 years. She's that woman the scriptures talk about in Proverbs 31. She has no reason to lie, so fall back with that nonsense.

Jimbo read the Bible he says who.

Did you just make that up to impress someone or can you actually show me what & where the Bible says who?

And FYI, I have read the Bible straight through from Genesis through Revelation numerous times since I was born again in 1967.

LOL. The tshirt and support of it is racist.

I don't bother to look at who is voting for BO. I hope he does not become prez. I believe he will.

You ain't seen any racism lately?

So the ONLY racism you see is that people think it racist to compare Bo to a monkey.

Hmmm..... kinda like I see the 17,000 murders blacks commit on blacks, but I DO NOT see the 30,000 suicides committed by whites on self.

Again, call me a liar if you think it will further your position. And I still do not see comparing Sen. Obama to Curious George is racist.

But you asked ME if I had seen any racism lately. I cannot speak for all the murders and overt racism you may see in Minnesota, only for myself. The answer is still "No."

I'm not saying I do not occasionally witness overt racism except for TV, on websites, or in this thread. I usually hear remarks from, what I call, white-trash, sorry people that need to look down on someone so they feel better about the stupid choices they've made in life.

I made up that the Lord will have His Vengence, is that what you are posting?

Do we need to go back to the posts?

In Alabama? OK. Since I havent witnessed a racist incident in ALabama I cannot call you a liar.

But I can read about Selma, Birmingham and Montgomery, Alabama and assume some of those people had kids and taught their kids racism

Have you actually visited Selma, Birmingham or Montgomery in recent years? Well I have, and, take it to the bank, it's nothing like 1968.

Fact is, lots of those white folk's children in Selma that turned out racist too have moved away and their parents that are still alive are mostly in nursing homes. Birmingham is now a pretty sophisticated city for the South.

And Montgomery? Well, George Wallace and his wife Lurleen are both long dead. But did you catch his very public apology to black civil rights leaders for his segregationist and racist policies before died? Appears a few people have conveniently forgotten that when they are quick to stereotype white Alabamans.

Apologies are not allowed!!! No way, no how! We never, ever forgive and we never, ever forget anything! That's because we have never, ever done anything to be forgiven for! And we hang on to the anger and hatred as long as we live! Just like the Bible tells us to!

What were you thinking, Jimbo?

I used to drive through Demopolis when I took my son to the university in Livingston. It's pretty country back there. There's about 2000 people there and, according to stats on the web, it's just over 50% black and just under 48% white.

jimbo, for the record again, you are not a racist to me. GWB is not a racist to me. Doesnt understand poor but I don't think he hates blacks just because they are black. I know racism up close and personal. Having been on both sides.
