There are many reasons why. One reason is the archeology that massively supports the Bible. I am a dirty sinner and Jesus is my Lord.

- There are actually far more facts backing a creator god than there are the ability for metal planes to fly. So why do so many people get in a plane without a thought, believing it will get them where they need to go. Yet few in comparison accept & believe in the Creator God & let Him get them where they need to go. -

I was brought into the faith by the Holy Spirit speaking through a kind man who didn't condemn but offered an answer. I was kept in the faith's early stages by a spiritual family who corroborated the love that is said to given to believers and that was shown to me. I am in my faith now because of daily revelations given to me in my devotions that manifest later on in that day and by compiling evidence (while I may obviously be biased, I do attempt to go at this objectively as best I can.) in which I look over and decide for myself whether what HAS happened to me was the work of Jesus Christ in me or simple self-suggestion. Simple prayers answered serve as bolsters such as my own prayer with the topic of whether I should do something and then after it immediately with NO mention of it from me, an (amusingly enough) atheist friend of mine brought up the same kind of situation, told me he utterly couldn't stand it, and I found myself convincing him to do what I was wondering myself. The end of the situation brought me closer to my spiritual family and became a wonderful testimony. I'm told that the devil's in the details and here I find that much of my faith can come from them. Outside of my own circumstances and in search of overarching truth or if there is one, I take a look at arguments presented to me and hold it up to whether the idea can stand up against itself, what is it's basis/context, and whether what is recorded in the Bible can stand up against it given more than a mere smattering of understanding. The arguments I pay attention to tend to be philosophical and postmodern in nature and I'm currently in the process of reading into more than just that.

ORIGINAL: mr.moustache Why do you believe in the Christian faith? Why do you choose to believe and in some cases, live your life for something that takes "faith?" Put it this way- If someone you didn't know were to ask you one day in a coffee shop, "So, why do you believe in Christianity, Jesus, and all of that?," what would you say? I do not belive in the Christain faith, I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only son who died for my sins and is now alive in heaven. Christianity is just a lable given to those who believe Jesus is who He says He is. I would say I believe because I read the Bible and found it to be true. How I eventually came to have faith is a mystery, I really cannot say exactly how it happened. I could give you a bunch of "christainese" talk, but when you accept Jesus yourself, then you will know too how deep is His love for you. Faith come by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 Read the Bible, then you will know.

First because my parents brought me up Catholic. Then I left the Church during my rebellious years, and God called me back. I am no longer Catholic, but I am a Christian.

I believe because the world is sinful and does not know LOVE until it repents and asks GOD to forgive them.
