I use Pantene, because evertyhing else I use gives me a rash/makes my head itch. I can't even use the knock-off equivalents.

I sometimes use Neutrogena Rainbath which is a body wash that can also be used as shampoo.

Whatever's available.
I'm not picky, all it needs to do is wash my hair.
I've got thick and shiny hair (just like the hair commercials! LOL), and people have asked me, "what kind of shampoo do you use?"
My answers usually disappoint them, since I use nothing fancy. It's all natural.

I don't think Pantene is the best brand to use because I think, Pantene has this kind of wax in it. Which really freaks me out.

Yeah... I've heard that, however, I don't believe it. Comparing the ingredients to those of other shampoos does not show much difference. And even so, wax is not a bad thing in general... it is found in all kinds of things (including foods). What *I* have heard is that the salons teach their stylists that because it is good for business (they make money off poeople believing that!).

But most of all... I would rather have whatever is in pantene that does not cause me too break out in hives than something else that does...

Yes, stylists are taught to "sell" whatever product they have in the shop.

I have not had my hair professionally cut in several years because
1) the price
2) I don't want to hear 30 minutes of how many great things Paul Mitchell can do for my hair. (I tried it and did not think it was that great of a product.)

DHS Clear. It's fragrance free and is the only one that doesn't bother my skin. It's about $10, but with eczema and allergies and sensitivities like mine, this one finally doesn't bother mine. It has fewer ingredients than most shampoos which means fewer substance to react to. And it was recommended by my dermatologist. So this one might be for you rainbowtvp.

Just one? :) I like to have several different kinds and rotate them. Right now I have tresemme, biolage, paul mitchel, bath and body work stuff, herbal essence and suave. I have very oily hair and I find that if I rotate them every time that I get better results.

Tresemme Shampoo and Conditioner

Is this shampoo good I would like to give it a shot as I've heard a lot about it.?

It's got my vote!
I have naturally curly hair, and I was using Aussie last year and was FED UP with Aussie's shampoo, conditioner and styling products. The back of my head kept getting these weird tiny scabs, my head itched bad, and I starting getting dandruff...It was all very weird, and it stopped when I stopped using Aussie.

Anyways, last summer I read up about hair products and focused on what was said for girls with curls. The books I read suggested this:
- Clear shampoos are more lightweight than creamy ones which is better for oily hair.
- Thick wavy/curly hair:
-Use a creamy shampoo with gentle detergents like sodium laureth sulfate. Look for TEA Lauryl sulfate, TEA laureth sulfate and/or propylene glycol.
-Use a conditioner with soy or wheat protein. Silicone and protein coats cuticles and reduces frizz. If still frizzy, use a leave-in conditioner.
**Tresemme Moisture Rich shampoo has sodium laureth sulfate as the 2nd ingredient. Propylene glycol and wheat protein are also in there. The moisture rich conditioner has wheat protein. The shampoo is clear.

Sometime's I'll switch it up and use Redkin Fresh Curls conditioner, but Redkin's expensive, so I don't do it too often.

I've been using Matrix products for a few years and LOVE 'em. Once, I switched back to Pantene and my hair started falling out... no kidding! So I switched back. But the price is totally outrageous right now and I have to do something different, so I'm going to be experimenting.
