OneOfHisJewels -> RE: Value of human life boiled down to appearance (5/13/2008 12:40:27 PM)

quote:
I don't know if studies have been done on this, but from talking to other people, it seems a lot of folks believe that a person's attitude and goodness actually have an effect on their physical appearance. So, for instance, someone that's kind of homely looking could look more attractive if they were nicer to other people. It's a bizarre, illogical belief, but I sense that it may be rampant. That's not totally bizarre. Spirit can shine through. I mean, it's true attitude isn't going to change your bone structure, but a kind, caring, loving, happy, non angry person whose eyes sparkle, and who always has a smile on one's face, can have a glow about them and an attractiveness about them, even if they are naturally plain, and a person with a naturally gorgeous bone structure can mar their appearance with an angry or haughty expression.
