well today was not a good day for me. I fell to the temptations of porn and self gratification. I was tired and weak at the time, and I didn't turn to God to delivered me. I went out of my way, to get this stuff. I mean man there was no fight in me. I need to set my self right with God. I have to go now, but can everyone reading this pray to God for me, to not back slide, and that God helps me get out of this whole. My name is Anthony, please pray for me.

praying for you iron..and I also encourage you to take authority over your own spiritual life and remove the source that you are obtaining porn from...if it is the computer get rid of it if it's going to make you fall, if it's movies, trash them etc.

I know we all have moments of weakness in one area or another but we all also have to make willful choices to deny flesh what it wants too.

Dear Lord, Please help Anthony and his struggle. Please be by his side in his time of weakness and lift him up. Please let him know you care even tho he has sinned. Let the Holy Ghost fill him and rid him of Satans terrible ideas.

Anthony, I know you can do this. I know that you can get through your struggle. Grab your Bible and slowly read on....try the book of James. It is one of my favorite books in the Bible. It helps keep me on the right path. Everyone of us struggle and mess up bud. You recognize that you have and want to do better. Now repent and move on. You know you have a weakness so put on some armor and next time WIN the next fight. When I say put on your armor, i mean that you should fill your soul of God's Will throught the Bible, pray to him even more and harder, invite him to each one of your daily activities. I hope that i helped. Just rely on God, and you will make it!!

Hey, man I know the struggle that you are in!! It is a daily battle against the enemy(the world ,the flesh and the devil). What can make me fall? Practically anything thats what! Just walking out the front door, with the way that woman can dress, is all it really takes. My own imagination! This is a sex saturated culture that we live in with a lure to sexual pleasure around every corner. Their seems to be know way to truley remove myself from the temptatin for sexual pleasure.I can through out the T.V., the computer and anything else in my house that is a source of temptation!! Then I have to leave the house and there it is !! Billboards, magazine racks at the check out in the grocery stores. Girls walking around half naked. Mans it's tough!!

What the Lord has been getting accross to me is the need to win the battle in the mind!! Rejecting the first sinful thought that comes to mind. Not allowing myself to dwell on any lustful thought. This is not easy, it takes much work as I am finding out.. Romans 12:2 "let God tramsform you into a new person by changing the way you think" are thoughts is where the battle is won or lost.

So lets pray for each other!! I am in this same battle with you!!
If and when we fall, and were disappointed with ourselves and feel shame. Lets stand up and praise God anyway. He always worthy regardless how I feel about myself!!!

I would just say that whether or not you have a computer is not the reason. If you do get rid of the computer, and you have not set your heart right, then you will just find another way to get porn. If the computer is necessary for school or work or provides you with entertainment, culture or education, then it is useful. All I am saying that the reason you view pornography is not because you have a computer. Getting rid of it will not solve the problem. You are definitely on the right track by praying and seeking strength from brothers in Christ. Accountability is the key. Make a vow to God and keep it. Create a list of reasons why you need to keep that vow and review the list daily. Shoot for a number of days of abstinence then when you reach that, DOUBLE it. Realize that sexual sin is not something that only happens to you and understand that it is an attack from Satan. Learn to revel in the victory when you choose to overcome the temptation. My prayers are with you.

Porn is no stranger to many men. It's been estimated that over 50% of men, even Christian men, either have or do now struggle with porn. The rate is even high among Pastors and other Christian leaders. So, don't condemn yourself completely for being tempted by porn.

Actually, the lure of porn is an illusion that there is that perfect sex stuff somewhere if it can just be found. I suppose the lie that one has to be a He Man of society may be part of it, as well.

In my opinion, the lure of porn is fed by the need to be fulfilled. Yet the only way a person can achieve that is to be filled with God's Spirit. You see, God made us with a need deep inside to fellowship with Him. The lie that porn will satisfy is a Satanic countefeit of that.

So, a man has to get closer to God. He does that first by admitting that he is powerless to resist the lure of porn, as is the case with all sin. So giving one's self to God is a starting point. Studying the Word, praying and asking God for all of His good gifts are the things that will eventually lift the desire. Finding a Chrsistian men's group is also a good idea. Listen closely to what the men say. Some in the group may have dealt with porn successfully. Open yourself up only to such men.

Don't think that the Lord will build your strength to resist. Instead, He wants to fill you so full of Himself that the desire to sin will dissolve away. Needless to say, you may have to be filled and refilled as time goes on.

You have our prayers but do not berate yourself too much over this. The porn? well do your best to turn away from the porn, run from the porn! As for the "self gratification", it happens and will most likely happen again. That comes from a given male sex drive and it is not going to go away. Do your best to control it and when you fall, you fall. But you get back up and do your best. You know the angels live in awe of what humans have to go through in order to reach God.

Temptation also moves fast, we have to keep our mind's guarded. If we aren't careful we will be like, "Man what was I thinking?"

Gotta keep your mind focused dude. Dealing with porn years ago, I can say it ain't worth it. Pleasing yourself leaves you empty inside and continues the cycle of sin.

Porn is satan's greatest trick, it's like having you commit gluttony when you are ONLY PROMISED food but never really eat it.

Shake it off, GOD loves you and he loves me, just keep on going dude, leave the shame behind you.

Something that has helped me in the fight against porn is. "That's not mine", and "That's not God's plan for my life". These are two quotes from Kenny Luck when he put on a seminar at out church. I don't always remember them in time and I stumble often. That is why Christ died and paid for all of my sins. The struggle keeps me humble and keeps me coming to him on my knees for his forgiveness and mercy. Just like God told Paul, "My grace is sufficient". Thank you Jesus!!!
