Newick's was in SOUTH Portland anyways, so that shouldn't affect your opinion of Portland! It just means you have to drive to NH if you still want to go to Newick's. There's one not far over the border. What were you doing way up here, John?

There's still one nearby!? How far from Portland is it? (I'd make the drive if it's reasonable)

I was visiting Bath Iron Works. That was back when they had the yard in Portland. Of course there's no where to stay in Bath anyway so even now we stay in Portland.

One thing I did like about Portland was the downtown (waterfront) area. I like cobblestone and there were tons and tons of very attractive women. Of course I couldn't tell if any were Christian or conservative but the few I talked to seemed nice at least.

(And for the interested observer, I was not picking up women. The first time I was there I was married and teh second time I was actually looking for a Karoake bar that was supposed to be there.)

Evening all!

Hope you all had a great day. Mine has been a roller coaster of emotions, but otherwise not bad.

The Girl sang her very first solo at church today (Heart of Worship). I had several ladies and two full grown men come to me in tears after the service and thank me for her. She did wonderful and apparently God ministered through her to the people.

Of course I've got it on video. Don't know how to get it posted. (MPEG file is 153MB. Are youtube files that big? or do I have to downsize it somehow?)

Hi Terri and John!

Terri, sorry that it has been a rough day!

John, cool on the video!

Now I wasn't all that crazy about Portland's waterfront at all, and it is probably the only real part of Portland that I have seen, go figure. I didn't notice any women around either.

Oh, that's so awesome!!! I just love to see the little ones sing at church.

You can YouTube it -- "Your video is limited to 10 minutes and 1024 MB"

You can set it to private, too, if you like.

AAAWWWWW...John, that's so special. Does she also sing with the praise team or choir or whatever?

That's awesome. It's so great when they are so young and learn to do that: creates a lot of confidence they can draw on later in life, too.

Good evening everyone.

I had a good weekend. Did projects yesterday and went to a ball game today.

Hey, Gary!

Oh, I almost forgot. I have two videos of Pun'kin... Mike, you said he sounds active? These videos were taken AFTER he started losing steam.

Pun'kin climbing the book case

Pun'kin "talking" to a lizard.

Nope. She's 7. We don't have a choir and the praise team is all grown ups.

But I do detect the scent of "daddy and daughter duet doom" in the air

Funny videos Michelle!

Hi Gary!

Esther and Michelle, I am doing ok, I am all caught up on forums. I will likely rest my back and go lay down shortly. I do have tomorrow off. I guess it will be another day in forums as well!

Have you tried a chiropractor? I have tried them before, but finally found one that really, really works for me. She is wonderful and I have been able to return to much more active life because of her.

Those were fun Michelle. He was showing his intensity in the Lizard one by the way he was moving his tail.

Now does one see a Chriropractor for muscle strain? I am sure I will be fine. It was just lifting that ultra-heavy paper that was the culprit this time.

Thanks! He has a TON of energy. My mom and sister came over tonight and he was totally showing off -- wish I'd caught some of those antics on video.

Yeah, that's what I have to deal with EVERY day!!! I have to pick up after him constantly... it's like having a small child running around the house. Today, I have mopped up a mess when he knocked over one of my glasses, picked up the trash can twice and replaced the liner, and refused to pick up other things he just knocks to the ground... just because.

Konica, my female cat will knock over the trash can in my study and scrape everything out of it. Fortunately it is all paper.

No, you won't see the lizard! Most of the time, Punky is the only one who can. But there's a lizard that lives on the ledge, and these two taunt each other constantly!
