Yes, many of folks do that......we'll have to see what tonight holds.

I'm watching Darlington, while creating an outline for training next weekend.

Oh, dear. I feel like I've been through the wringer.

I woke up at 3 a.m. with a really terrible migraine. Had gotten about 3 hours of sleep. This one turned into a crying-moaning-sick migraine, really horrible. Four hours later, I was finally able to settle down, and even though it still hurt, it was somewhat tolerable, and I made myself stay in bed til 10. Didn't sleep, but I guess I rested.

Unfortunately, even though I would have loved to stay at home and just take care of this today, I had a concert scheduled today. My partner sometimes does these programs himself (well, not really alone, his wife plays piano), but I still didn't want to cancel on him, because this is a relatively new place for us.

So I got up and proceeded to go about things, and I got through it. Didn't really start feeling better until afterward. I feel pretty good now though!

Pam, I understand, too. Those migraines aren't fun to live with. But I'm glad you're feeling better now.

I have had maybe four migraines, my whole life, and I wouldn't wish one of them on anyone. My mom had them all her life until she finished menopause.
Mine were minor compared to most, and after taking magnesium for a few months I only get regular headaches now-the kind one Tylanol gets rid of.

I am sorry you had to suffer through one today Pammy.

Oh wow, she did stop them after she was through menopause? Makes me want to hurry up and get there and get through it - now.

In reality, I am taking something natural that has basically gotten rid of them for me, however, if/when I am off it for more than 2 days, they come raging back with a vengeance. I don't go anywhere without my migraine script.

Thanks, Lisa and Michelle. It does feel unbelievably good when they go away!

Here's the really weird (well, sad too) thing. My brother, (who we visited in the Keys) is also a migraine sufferer. I had one while we were down there, and because desperation makes us do things we might not ordinarily do, I took one of his pills, Maxalt. It worked really great for me, it was gone in an hour. So he coaxed me to take a couple back with me.

So I took one last night. It didn't do a thing! How disappointing! I've never been able to find anything that helped for more than a little while. It seems my body "immunes" itself to everything right away.

Edited to include thanks Colleen!

I'm so glad someone got that! Actually I'm watching the race right now, but was following the game earlier.

Pam, the only thing that really works for me is Excedrin Migraine. I've taken a prescription in the past, but it didn't do much.

Also, I've only had one "classic" migraine with the "aura". That wasn't bad at all. My last migraine was on my son's birthday and I had to sleep that one off.

Wow, you were actually following the Darlo game earlier. I'm so impressed Lisa! I hope they get to Wembley, only so that Rochdale stay in League 2 for another season! : )

I don't believe I've ever tried that. I'm tired of my neurologist going through the prescription stuff. I think she's just throwing darts.

I don't get auras anymore, but for most of my life, I did. I became grateful for them, actually, because they were a precursor, a warning. I could actually time how long it would be before the headache would hit.

I think I'll try to remember to get some Excedrin Migraine. Thanks, Michelle! Certainly can't hurt, right?

Can't hurt!! But I'll warn ya, don't take one at night, and don't take two unless you know you can handle it. They have caffene. Other than that, they work great!

After my surgery, I took the Vicadin the doctor prescribed and it just made me feel *yuk*. The next day, I took an Aleve and I swear, it took care of the pain much better than the vicadin ever could. Sometimes, we just have to try everything to find something that works.

Let me know how the Excedrin works for you, k?

Michelle, I'm not sure what you mean by this. It's at night, or rather in the middle of the night, when I normally get my migraines.

And caffeine doesn't bother me at all. In fact, my normal pain reliever (for regular garden-variety headaches) has caffeine, and it's great.

Aah. See, I usually get mine in the morning or afternoon... rarely at night. I was just thinking about the effect caffeine might have on your sleep.

Went shopping today for the Girl She needed summer clothes especially summer dresses.

I fell in love with Burlington Coat Factory. she got 18 items (6 dresses) for about $200. That should kep her dressed for the summer!!

(She's not too spoiled. The problem is that almost everything she tries on looks great on her.)

Good evening everyone.

Sorry for all the migraine sufferers. Been praying today for you, Lisa, and for .Pammy, too.

Never did get my computer problem fixed. STUpid Vista. STUpid Norton. STUpid IE7. STUpid Microsoft Windows site.

Linux, I'm listening. Talk to me...

Still and all, I had a really nice day and got a lot done.

It was really slow around the forum today: guess that's why I got so much done, eh?

And, this is good night. Gotta get up and lead worship tomorrow, sing at an orchestra recital tomorrow night. Start summer crunch schedule on Monday.

Parlez-vous francais?

John, it sounds like you had a good time with her. Not to put a damper on that, but I couldn't help but think that shopping for her must be a little bittersweet. There were (and still are) things I have to do with my children that I'm not suited for...their daddy was supposed to do that.

Glad you had a good time. Praying for you and the Girl tomorrow.

Its been a long day for me also. Ran into an old friend. He wants to be more than friends. I am not getting into that with him. He had issues. Can't make up mind. Always playing the field. I was glad to see that he was alive and well, but thats all. The past has a way of coming back and testing you. But I am not feeling that.

Hey DJ. It's a funny thing abouit the past isn't it. I tracked down my first real serious girlfriend a while ago just to see how she was doing.

Thank God he delivered me from that. She turned out to be someone I wouldn't cross the street to talk to. All the little tendencies she had way back when developed into major problems.

So it's wise to be aware of the tests and pass them.

Yea, I thank God for having him in my life, it I learned a lot about myself, especially how to not tolerate anyone taking me for granted.
