Thanks for the kudos on my presentation (link I put in the April chat thread); I have no clue what my grade will be, but I'll get an overall lab grade. I don't think it'll be that good because the lab that my partner attempted to do, he never completed.... so I know we got some big points off on it. But all I can do now is hope she didn't dock us much. I'm in here studying for the GRE so I'll be back later. I had emailed the doctoral program I want to apply to, to ask what their minimum GPA and GRE scrores are that they'll accept...thinking he'd say 3.0 and 1150... But he replied back and said 3.0 and 1000, which seems really low, esp. since all the rest of the grad schools within that same university require an 1150 usually. I don't think he made a mistake, but I wonder why the GRE score is that low...even the other biology programs there require an 1100-1150. Then I looked to see who their current students are (there aren't many), and I discovered that a good number of them didn't have a science or research background and have no Master's (good for me, b/c I'm trying to skip that too). Most other programs I look at, even if the person didn't have a big science background, they had some science background. It's making me wonder how they choose who to let in, esp. with them being 3rd in the nation for pathology and saying how "competitive" it is to get in. Something just sounds off. I wonder how many applicants they have, but there's no way for me to figure that out.
