Earthless and Soxfan- your testimony speaks more to me than all of the links combined to the heresy sights. Thank you both for sharing it wasn't what I expected. I expected both of you to be more along the lines of just "quote from this <link here>" types. I was wrong. Just as those who doubted your faith and attempted to mold you into their incorrect vision of christianity were wrong. I am sorry though and had I not simply "assumed" and taken more time to perhaps ask I probably would have picked up on this sooner. We all know what happens when we assume though, right?

No problem brother - iron sharpens iron.

Here is the Elijah List's report on the "outbreak" at Rick Joyners K-12 school.

This article includes this quote from Joyner: We have therefore resolved to give oversight and direction as needed, but let the youth lead. When they do, the Holy Spirit seems to come in waves which have been so strong that even our leadership team has been gripped by fear at times.

Gripped by fear? Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Read your Bible, Rick, please. He says this event has done more than "years of preaching and teaching". This is a problem with being experience-oriented rather than recognizing Scripture as superior to experience.

One more quote: "We had purposefully not promoted this"--yeah, because reporting to the Elijah List is not promotion, right? Shifting gears at the old PTL stomping grounds.

Creepy indeed.

Benny Hinn is not a false teacher.

He is truly a tool of SATAN!

Frances Frangipane attempts to make the Lord's Prayer something of the "prophetic" category. What do expect? It's the Elijah List.

Read it here.

"He told faltering, fumbling, often sinful disciples to pray like they were mature, victorious warriors."

Like there's not enough running around with olive oil, driving stakes in the ground and getting hysterical about "spiritual warfare"?

We're already told to pray believing --Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. (Mark 11:24)

Perhaps I'm reading too much into it? No, read from the last paragraph--
"Yes, even now, the armies of God in Heaven are beginning to unite with the armies of God on earth. Lightening-like power is beginning to fill the backbone of the redeemed."

Cocky spiritual warfare versus:

Psalm 34:18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Psalm 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Steve Schultz comments, "God is saying something here! If I were you, I'd pay attention." He'd pay attention, and right underneath his comment you can pay $32 for a couple of Frangipane CD's.

Oh, man...anything goes, with the Elijah List....

PROPHESYING to GAS PUMPS

Bill Yount: As I picked up the pump nozzle to pump the gas into my car, a spirit of prophecy came over me. I began to prophesy a personal prophetic word to that gas pump - releasing the highest power of octane that any oil company has ever seen.

As I prophesied to my first gas pump, I felt myself being filled up with Heavenly octane! I said to the pump: "Thus saith the Lord...no matter how high your gasoline price increases, I will always have enough money to fill up my gas tank in both cars!"

I hope no one will mimic this. Faith is not displayed in talking to gas pumps.

Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
(Philippians 4:11-13) ESV

Our faith in the character of God must remain whether in abundance or need. Our faithfulness to God may be tested in either circumstance.

In verse 14 of Philippians 4 Paul acknowledges that he had been in need:
Yet it was kind of you to share my trouble.
(Philippians 4:14)

A gas pump is an inanimate object. There is nothing spiritual there to hear Yount's prophecy.

Another quote from Yount in this message:

I saw angels breaking open piggy banks proclaiming; "Don't count your money, read it!"

I really, really wish it was April Fool's Day with this message from Yount. Please people, make wise choices.

Has it finally gotten silly enough that people will stop looking to these "prophets"?

Probably not.

You know what's scary? I grew up around the WOF nonsense for so long, I had an immediate rebuttal for how they would respond to your part that I highlighted. "Doesn't the Bible say that even the rocks would cry out in praise? Rocks are inanimate." That's the mindset and reasoning, or lack thereof that has poisoned the minds of these people.

That is just the plain and simple indoctrination. It is also unfortunately how many of the church respond to unbelievers questions.

What do...

Bishop Bill Hamon, Bishop Vaughn McLaughlin, Apostle John Eckhardt
and Prophet Chuck Pierce

...have in common?

A paid advertisement on the Elijah List

Dominion Shift '08 17th Annual Apostles and Prophets Conference

(I notice the proofreader missed the double ampersand, oh well...)

Here's a quote:

For the Body of Christ to enforce the Kingdom of Heaven on earth! We must passionately embrace this Dominion Shift anointing!

Note who's in on Dominionism and the fusion of ideas from Word of Faith, the "prophetic" movement, and those wanting an Apostolic order. I don't know all about 'em but I know I don't want 'em.

I wonder if there's a prize for the Millionth Flavor of "anointing" that someone comes up with?

That sounds like something you would've heard right before the Crusades began...enforce the Kingdom of Heaven. Good grief.
