Mine was about the glories of Heaven, the promises of the a future of liveing with God and Jesus and lining ein their light, about no sorrows nor tears in the New Jerusalem (Rev. 21,22) but after the congregation was all comfortable with that future I confronted them with these verses; (Rev 22:11) He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. (Rev 22:12) And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. And expanded on that there is a day coming and coming soon when God's patience (and His Grace) will come to an end. I pre-closed with the following passage; (Mat 7:20) Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. (Mat 7:21) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. (Mat 7:22) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? (Mat 7:23) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. and ended with this verse; (2Co 13:5) Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? And neither did I look at my notes. Thanks RC
