Nadine, I think you would really like it here. Dry heat (no humidity), gentle breezes (and sometimes downright windy, but not often), summers average in the 80's, a little in the 90's and a few days even in the low 100's (maybe for about a week in late August).
Oh, and have I mentioned how beautiful it is? 
I'm there!!!!!!! But once I get there, you would be gone.  Although everyone you have mentioned sounds downright friendly, I don't enjoy not knowing anyone wherever I live. I have done that before....no fun

Good Idea......all the little ones have spillproof kids cups. Which is great, however the 4 older kids leave their cups EVERYWHERE! The littles obviously find them and spill them. I may actually have the older ones trained not to leave them everywhere by the time the littles leave. I am going to have the older ones use the water bottles, which I have thank God, and that should help alot.
BTW.....I am totally exhausted!!!!! All I have left is a trip to the store, dinner, baths and bedtime. Oh, and dishes and laundry. I may have to deligate more.

Yes! From my office, we can see the fires pretty good. Very scary. The entire west valley, as well as downtown, was darkened because the smoke filtered out the sunlight.

We were darkened in the afternoon yesterday and it gave everything a strange orange hue. Kinda eerie. I have see alot of smoke from forest fires but never anything so orange. weird.

Okay, the skies were clear this morning, did you notice that Nadine? It is such a beautiful day! I came in, looked out the window, no fires!! Just a few minutes ago I peeked again and see some smoke rising over there in the same area. The news this morning said they were still working on containing it. I sure hope they get it completely out before the extreme heat sets in again. And more rain wouldn't hurt ...
