I like classic Pooh, too (that rhymes!). And Eeyore is my favorite. He was so much mopier than he is now.

I like the old Eeyore too.

"Thanks for Noticing" Was one of Hubbys favorite quotes.

Yeah, I'm not too fond of the new Pooh stuff either.

Probably a good thing I have no idea what you're talking about then, huh?

The new winnie the Pooh shows are way different than the original. They have "modernized" it. Politicized it too but thats a whole nuther topic.

But it made me laugh out loud. Thankfully I'm at home, not in the college library.

LOL.
BTW is that thing fully loaded? cuz if it is we have a leave your arms at the door policy here at the wood.

Editted because I haven't had enough coffee yet.
If I leave my arms at the door, that would make typing a bit difficult.

Not if you type with your nose!! lol....hey, it could happen.

I like modern pooh. Maybe it's because I work at Disney and I see these characters all the time. Tigger is my favorite, but I have a special soft spot for Eeyore. He's so sad sometimes it's adorable!

I love the area where Pooh is a D-land its so lush and green. We always head there when it gets hot. Plus the kids always have to see tigger, even the older ones.

When I was stationed at Ft Eustis, while my loverly and I were still dating, a friend of hers gave everyone she knew "Pooh" names. She was "Roo". Loverly was "Eeyore". I was "Rabbit". A mutual friend was named "Tigger", and the name fit.

I love the drawfs! One of the reasons I loved parade duty was because Sleepy would fall asleep mid-parade almost every day! He'd slow his walking, stop, lean over like he's dozing, and "sleep" until another dwarf came by to wake him up. Hilarious!

My older sister had this really strange sneeze. You would hear nothing and then at the end a very quiet "chew". It really made you laugh.

So,

Have ya made up your mind on the cheesecake thing yet?

We're all waitin on ya.

I wouldn't want ya to appear indecisive or anything.

Side note: That word was a hot topic in my marriage....I would never have joked about it back then. He He. If I wanted a fight, which I never did of course. All I had to do was use that word in a sentence.

What word? Cheesecake?

Or was it "waitin'"?

I'm so indecisive on these things!

Okay....I kinda had an idea of what I wanted to share. This thread has been along time comeing due to unforseen stupidity on my part, so I have had lots of time to "Think" as it were. However....

I'm sitting here drinking my coffee(thanks FB) and my silly little Bijon Maltese who is adorable and sweet, but really not very intelligent, starts digging at a 5 gallon water bottle. I get a water service, and I have 5 sitting against the wall( I live in AZ we go through alot of water) So any way he is just scratching and digging away at the bottle. I am assuming he knows its full of water, and he is thirsty. Funny thing is his water bowl is right next to the bottles. Filled to the top with fresh water.

I was watching him, and I started to get that feeling like God was trying to show me something here. For me he always uses animals and children to show me things. I'm simple at heart. The 5 gallon water bottle is the future....each and every day after today. His will that I am always trying to get him to reveal. I always want to see where he is going with some thing and I am rarely content with just today. And right there in front of me is that small portion...today.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Matthew 6:33-34

Being a widow....and having your whole life turned upside down. You kinda want to know why. Why did you allow these things to happen. I am like my little dog Shiloh, digging and trying to find out those answers now. When He just wants me to trust Him with today.

Blessings!

Hi, I really have enjoyed your PYF, PFY, or whatever you call it.
Your story reminded me of my early days of widowhood, being so concerned about my ten year old daughter, everyone I talked to who had lost their father at that age had either married really young, or had chosen very poorly when it came to relationships with men. As I was praying about it God seemed to be telling me not to worry about her teenage years, but to just take it one day at a time.

Thanks Colleen,
I feel the Lord telling me the same thing. And I usually trust Him with things but on the off day, I can be really off...KWIM. He so good, and patient with me though.

I've never seen that movie I'll have to rent it. It's kinda fun that my teenagers now enjoy many of the same movies I do, so we can watch them together.

You and Esther are amazing....raising kids after what happened to your husbands. It feels like such a daunting task.
Actually, there are alot of us here doing that huh. Well, I for one feel very unprepared for the task. I'll be watching ya'll to get some tips.

I've made so many mistakes, hopefully I have learned from them.
It helps to remember that God loves my children even more than I do, and He wants the best for them.
