txparent -> I've had enough (4/28/2008 12:06:30 AM)

I have to say that I can't remember being more disappointed with our field of political candidates in my lifetime. Here is what it seems we have to choose from: 1. Hillary Clinton - a manipulative, explosive, thoroughly dishonest politician who is running out of self interest and a desire for power. To her, seizing control of the government, and then causing the government to seize control of our lives in every way possible, is the ultimate expression of her quest for power. 2. Barack Obama - an inexperience, though likeable, man with the ideas and mind of a true Socialist. His associations are thoroughly suspect and his plans for this country remind me of Castro's plans for Cuba. 3. John McCain - the worst of the three, because he supposedly represents conservatives. Like Hillary, he is thoroughly power-hungry and he also has quite an explosive temper. Add to that his dishonest, egotistical and thoroughly superior and dismissive attitude, thinking of him as our next President turns my stomach. I guess, given the 3 choices, I'd likely choose Obama (as much as I NEVER thought I'd see the day where I'd even consider voting for a Liberal candidate). My reasoning is simple...I think Obama at least believes what he says. And while I disagree with most everything he believes, it is much easier to resist an honorable enemy than to try and deal with a manipulative and smug "supposed" ally. Mark Levin is right...we're in for 4 years of darkness in this country regardless of who is elected. Where are the conservatives with backbone enough to stand up for what's right? There's millions of us out there, but none apparently with the necessary credentials to make a successful run for the Presidency. All I can say is "Praise God that He is in control of this world and our destinies!" This country may be heading in a very bad direction, but God is in his heaven and as his children our true home is not here. We're pilgrims. Even so, it's hard sometimes not to take a more direct interest in the dealings of this life. I'd say we all have quite a bit of praying ahead of us... S[&o]
