THANK YOU ALL FOR THE FATHER'S DAY WISHES. We have had an interesting Father's Day. After going our with friends, and driving thruugh Gatlinburg, we got into bed about 11:45 p.m. About 1:00 a.m. we were awakened by a ruckus next door. Our former neighbors moved to their lake house about a year ago and rented out their home to a family with four little children, four cats, and two little dogs, all of whom were allowed to run wild. The children played in the street, the dogs killed three of the kittens, and they let the dogs run freely, in violation of the leash laws, to pee and poop in our yard, and even on our porch. Still, we liked having them live there better than we liked the former neighbors living there, which might tell you something. The renters moved the children out about two weeks ago, and appeared to be gradually moving out. They were apparently finishing the moving late last night when the owners showed up and the trouble began. At one point the two women were in a fist fight. There were four policemen on the scene, which did not stop the yelling and cussing. Two of the officers stayed until the renters finished loading up and left. We minded our own business (can you tell my sympathies are with the renters), but because of the noise could not get to sleep until about 4:00 a.m.. Oh, Cindy's son text messaged her about 2:00 a.m., so she called him and we both talked to him for a while about a problem he was having. So we ended up sleeping very little. We had breakfast at Cracker Barrel this afternoon and took a Baptist nap while watching On Golden Pond, so it has been a nice afternoon.

ORIGINAL: armydude Good afternoon! Happy Father's Day Kerr! Same to you Dude. You are more active in the fathering department than I. Hope the sermon went well. I assume that you have posted it somewhere, and I will read about it. I was actually waiting until someone asked... I posted in PFY that it was less than a half hour (which I'm sure was a good idea...) My sermon title was, "Remember who your Father is."

Wow, We can hope that the new neighbors are an elderly couple with goldfish.

Mrs. K thinks that we should buy the house for an investment so we could control who lives there. The problem is that the owners think the house is worth about twice what it really is.
