WELCOME BACK CRANKY

Glad you had a good time. The flexible schedule is best.

Happy that you moved the chairs from in front of the window, looks like a good view.

2. Professor Kerrlaw can go ahead and flunk me now, 'cause I'm not reading Huck Finn. Is there a principal (or warden) you can send me to? Is he cute?

Yes, and no.

Utility, we have a potato gun. The first time we launched it we had no idea how far it would go--we tried it in our driveway. It flew down the street to the back yard of a house in a different neighborhood. ha... sorry about that potato in your yard, ma'am. Ours shoots 150 yards. We like launching apples too.

I went bowling last night for the first time in........30 years, I think. The guys I went with were just toddlers last time I bowled (that was a little depressing). I ripped off (to the quick) a thumbnail with my first gutterball. After that, I found just the right weight ball and actually ended up bowling a few strikes and DIDN'T have the lowest score after all!! That was quite a shocker to me. But next time, I think I want the bumpers.

I bowled a lot in the late 70s. Got pretty good at it, but stopped in the early 80s and haven't bowled since.

I think that it's easier to score now.

Thank you!

That could be a name of an interesting t.v. show.

I can't wait to hear about your vacation! I was actually not super far from you over the weekend (the Portland/Vancouver area).

Never would have thought I would see something that Kerr did not know about.

I'm glad you did; all day I've been trying to remember (and then succeeding with forgetting) to go over there and nudge her to post vacation details.

There's a few of them in Jackson, that's for sure.

I personally think the best thing about Wyoming is the nature; especially the Grand Tetons, the buffaloes and of course the moose. (and well, all the other wildlife abounding out there)

for me, most beautiful is Silverdale Washington or Poulsbo, Wa. nicest view is Silverdale, Wa, or maybe off of Pike's Peak. but ask any soldier what his fave view is and if he has been deployed is bangor Maine airport lights. (((first stop on all returning flights.))) least with troops stationed west of Mississippi

Our first (and only) U.S. stop was at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. We had stopped in Canada, and we were actually crossing the Canadian border when we got the word that they had caught him.

I can certainly imagine that.

Pike's Peak is my 2nd nature love. It was my first for many years, before I saw The Grand Tetons.

Tying 2nd is also Lake Pend Oreille in Sandpoint, Idaho.

My avatar is the view from our hotel. We had so much fun watching the boats go by!

Normally, Mr. Cranky is the type to have our vacations scheduled and packed with stuff every moment of every day.

This time I convinced him to take it easy and he let me pick the pace--we did a lot more sitting, but he said he actually enjoyed it more than any other vacation. I'm sure the view helped. We decided the view had something for everyone--water, wildlife, industry (boats), and an engineering structure (bridge).

Welcome back Cranky. Vacations are wonderful aren't they?

Does that bridge move up to let the boats pass?
