Father, thank You for the elderly. For the wisdom they sometimes have to share. For they're gentleness. For they're kind dear smiles. Help them to feel Your love, Your care. Bless them Father with all that they need. In Jesus name. Amen

yes Father. protect the elderly from anything and anyone that tries to do them harm in any way. And fill their lives with great blessing, with people that will care for them and appreciate them, who see them as beautiful and precious and full of value, because that is how you see them Lord, and it is your will to fill their lives with good things and to prosper them even in their latter years. Lord, today I bring before you all of those elderly who feel so helpless and alone.
Please comfort them and send someone to take care of them.
Surround them with your love and lift them up. Take away their fear.
Quicken all of our hearts so that we will feel compassion for them and help us find ways to reach out to them.
Thank you for all of the outreach programs and ministries that work with these precious elderly ones.
Grant that those ministries will have more workers and a better financial situation so that they can extend their care.

yes Father, there are some who have no one to help. There are some who live alone and who must find the courage to continue thru each day. But they are not alone, they will never be alone, you have promised to remain with them, with us, always. And we are confident in you Lord and in your promises. Bless those who are walking out their latter years by themselves. Give them strength and wisdom and ingenuity and courage to live life to the fullest every day, every moment, every breath. Saturate their entire body mind and soul with perfect peace and absolute joy. When loneliness whispers to them or screams with intimidation... speak to them Holy Spirit. Warm them with your words, comfort them with your Truth, and satisfy them with your affection. You are companion... Lord, I lift up the elderly to you tonight..I pray for protection over them Lord, for those
who are lost, who have alzheimers, dimencia, they feel like inside, mentally..Please just
give them peace tonight, knowing that even though they don't know their surroundings,
or who is with them, that their family is there to help them, watching over them, support
them and keep them safe...Lord, thank you for the elderly!!

This morning there are so many elderly people who sit in place or lie in bed wondering if today is the day that they will take their last breath. They are frightened and ill and weak. Draw them close to You and shower them with Your love and mercy. If any have strayed from You, bring them back. Give them compassionate caregivers and loving friends. Help them to live their last days (whether years, months, days, or hours) to glorify You.

There are so many elderly that need more than physical relief and psychological comfort. They need Jesus. Lord, open their hearts to the Good News and help them to hear it in a way that brings them to salvation before they close their eyes for the last time.

LORD, You know this is my prayer too and my intention for praying for this exact prayer this morning.
Thank You Father for putting this on our hearts. Thank You for caring for each soul that has lived a long life.
Lift up those caretakers who are with the dear elderly - for them to speak boldly of the Good News that brings them to salvation. Again, i pray in agreement with sister marstacy, Amen.
