There's a church pastored by David Ruis (the worship leader) in L.A. and they meet on Sunday nights in a bar. The bar owner has allowed them to use the bar. They run a full service there - a worship set, teaching, praying over people - and they don't close down the bar during this. The atmosphere is of course very different because people are worshipping and unbelievers who come in are quiet during it all - and pretty dumbfounded too. L I think it's a very good idea.

That "church" has people worshipping that god, Shiva, along with any other deity that suits their fancy (plus they sport a Buddha statue). They embrace whatever gives a person in the congregation the warm fuzzies. I guess I'm one you probably call uptight or closed-minded because I believe in gathering with fellow believers in Jesus Christ to worship Him and Him alone rather than accommodating every religion around.
