I heard this really cool music from a band called The Almost a few days ago at a youth conference,bought their cd,and think they are a new fave of mine.Their music is loud and rocky,but not Screamo like Skillet. I was wondering if anyone else here is into them. Also what's your fave song by them? Mine is "Amazing because it is".

The Almost is a side project from Aaron Gilispie(sp) from the band Underoath. I do have the album and love it, I tend to agree that my favorite song is "Amazing because it is" Although it was "say this sooner" that got me to buying the CD in the first place.

Sorry but thats just my opinion.I heard Skillet once in concert and that was enough for me. I love the Almost though and think Aaron Gillespie is sooo cute! [:D]

The Almost rocks. My favorite songs are "Say This Sooner" "Amazing Because It Is" "Stop It" and "I Mostly Copy Other People".

I bought the cd sunday and have already listened to it aleast 6 times.I agree,It is good stuff.

SOuthern Weather. good music and thank the Lord isnt screaming loud metal. I am not into that kinda music. the cd is very decent macde. good riffs, good music, sound lyrics. overall a great buy

I like the first half, I don't like the second half as much though, but overall it's a good CD.

Not a fan of Underoath and that's why I was pleasantly surprised when I picked up "Southern Weather." It's an incredible feat to record almost all of the instruments, and vocals on an album and Aaron did a good job with that!

I agree,I hate Screamo music and am very happy that the Almost isn't.

I love The Almost.I like that it has a little bit of the screamo sound but it's not like all screaming.I like that.

Not screamo is correct about Skillet, because Screamo and songs with Screaming in them is very different to me. Disciple has alot of screaming, but I would never call them Screamo. Yucky

Skillet does have a good share of screaming in most of their music

I think the songs are so good that a less-than-perfect voice is of no consequence. It's a great album! I'm glad I bought it.
