Just thought I'd also mention that not everyone likes romance movies. If dh and I had gotten one, we'd probably give it away. We NEVER choose romance movies.

Good point. My hubby would hardly ever watch romance movies, just the occasional romantic comedy.

peculiar_lady2 -> RE: Clean romantic movie????? (4/14/2008 1:44:59 PM)

I love my hubby[:D].....he likes all the old classics just like I like!!!!!

HisCovenant -> RE: Clean romantic movie????? (4/14/2008 1:58:20 PM)

Dh has grown to like romantic movies. It's an acquired taste for him. Now, he suggests that we watch one of my Jane Austen collection... he just loves her sarcasm and irony, as well as knowing the value of making me happy. [;)]

My favorite romantic movie of all time is Somewhere In Time.

I love that movie!

justjennhere -> RE: Clean romantic movie????? (4/14/2008 4:33:39 PM)

"Enchanted" -- it just came out on DVD and is so sweet! (And very clean. I can't remember anything bad in it.) "The Wedding Singer" is also cute (some bad language, I think), especially since they've just gone through the whole wedding planning process.

I think your honeymoon survival kit is a WONDERFUL idea. So thoughtful!

Hope Floats.

nicole6598 -> RE: Clean romantic movie????? (4/14/2008 6:52:32 PM)

I think hope floats may have a sex scene? I like that movie though.
I don't think Enchanted is out here in Australia yet. I think it was just on at the movies.

I think we will go for more "romantic comedy" then just lovey dovey stuff. Although I know my friend likes sweet romance movies and our pastor is a bit of a softie.

nicole6598 -> RE: Clean romantic movie????? (4/14/2008 6:53:39 PM)

Oh and moon mouse- Kate and Leopold is great! Love that movie!

Not to be crude, but I am sure they will need a few breaks to rest [;)]. So you never know the movies might come in handy!

On my honeymoon we played Super Mario and watched Gilmore Girls. We still had plenty of time for the other stuff [;)]

Nicole,

"Regarding Henry", with Harrison Ford, is an absolute classic - and a movie that a man may well enjoy too IMO. There are romantic elements in it, but so much more as well.

nicole6598 -> RE: Clean romantic movie????? (4/15/2008 6:22:55 PM)

Thanks Manda, I will check it out, I don't think I have heard of that one before...

manda59 -> RE: Clean romantic movie????? (4/15/2008 6:23:58 PM)

"Regarding Henry"

quote:

Henry Turner is a despicable and ruthless trial lawyer whose life is turned upside down when he is shot in the head during a robbery. He survives the injury with significant brain damage and must re-learn how to speak, walk, and function normally. He has also lost most of the memory of his personal life, and must adjust to life with the family that he does not remember. To the surprise of his wife and daughter, Henry becomes a loving and affectionate man.

(and yes, it has a happy ending!!)

nicole6598 -> RE: Clean romantic movie????? (4/15/2008 6:37:32 PM)

OHHH yeah, I know the one now. Yeah that was a good movie.

Georgia-Peach -> RE: Clean romantic movie????? (4/15/2008 7:36:03 PM)

Just Like Heaven with Reese Witherspoon was a cute movie as well. I am pretty sure there was no sex scenes in it, but its been a while since I have seen it.

Hi,

May I suggest, "Walk, Don't Run". Old Cary Grant flick, so cute and funny too.

Another good one is Serenditpty, starring John Cusick & Kate Beckinsale. [:)]

Georgia-Peach -> RE: Clean romantic movie????? (5/4/2008 5:02:23 PM)

I haven't got to watch it the whole way through yet, but the Sarah, Plain and Tall movies seem to be really good. I don't know how romantic they are, but there is a love story to tell in them. I have them recorded on our DVR so as soon as I get time I can't wait to watch them. I love the time it is set in, any movie set in that time catches my attention.

Cloak -> RE: Clean romantic movie????? (5/4/2008 5:03:49 PM)

I like:

It's a wonderful life: Xmas movie, tho there is kissing but it's generally clean good movie.
The sound of music: another Xmas movie which is a classic I never tire of watching ever Xmas

Love Comes Softly is an EXCELLENT movie! Based after Janette Oke's book, it is clean, and actually has a good story. I totally love it, and it's a good romance one.

I loved that movie too...I had read that entire series of books years ago and was excited to see that movie coming on a couple years ago and made DH record it on the DVR for me.

Cloak -> RE: Clean romantic movie????? (5/28/2008 5:43:26 PM)

I love Janette Oke and have all her series of Love comes softly. I just would love to know...is this movie available on the DVD or in the movie theater?

They are available on DVD. There are a few of them. I want to buy the set. Very good.

I can hardly wait, even tho I am not supposed since I am moving. Lord please help me. I can't resist those romantic movies. I'm afraid to break down when I watch them. I've seen Katherine Hegeil on my PC in that movie.

Thanks Erin, bless you hon! [;)]
