Yes, I like Scott Fowler. He's a wonderful guy and really stands up for his principles. Great singer, too!

Welcome to our little world, Archie!

my brother-in-law hosted L5 at his church on a Sunday Morning. Not only were they great on stage, they were better off. Scott Fowler is a class act. I could write the rest of the evening of the examples from that service alone. Scott Fowler = one of the good guys.

L5Ropeholder -> RE: scott fowler... (4/10/2008 11:32:55 PM)

Fowler For President!!!!! They don't come much better than Scott!!!

SoloSGArtist -> RE: scott fowler... (4/11/2008 8:09:15 AM)

Scott Fowler has got it together! If more group owners and managers worked as professional as he does... we'd all be alot better off! He's great!

cbrown1427 -> RE: scott fowler... (4/11/2008 4:14:32 PM)

My first recollection of Scott was very shortly after he joined the Cathedrals. They were singing at Silver Dollar City in Branson Mo. Scott's family had come down from the St. Louis area to support him. His dad's t-shirt said, "I'm Scott Fowler's Dad." His mom's t-shirt said, "I'm Scott Fowler's Mom." His sister's t-shirt said, "I'm Scott Fowler's sister." It did not matter to them that only a handful of people in the park knew at that time who Scott Fowler was. Their pride was justified.

Did you check out Legacy 5's website?

Jeff_from_Kentucky -> RE: scott fowler... (4/17/2008 8:58:14 AM)

I have had the pleasure of talking with Scott on several occasions now. He is always warm and friendly and greets us like old friends. All of the guys from L5 are that way, which is why they are the favorite group for me and my son.

Scott has done a terrific job transitioning into the group emcee after the loss of Roger. Each time I see the guys, Scott seems more and more comfortable in that role. This has been a difficult time for him but he has handled it very well.

hinsonfan -> RE: scott fowler... (4/17/2008 3:43:05 PM)

Before Scott was singing with the Cats and L5 I mean back years ago, Scott had a local group in St Louis. I had a phone call one day and it was Scott's piano player wanting to know if I would be interested in playing drums for Scott, and I said I never heard of Scott Fowler but I would be interested in hearing what they sound like and give it my best. That is how I met Scott Fowler and I played for him about one year and I can say that Scott is the same off stage that he is on stage he very nice guy. And the rest is history!!

Jeff_from_Kentucky -> RE: scott fowler... (4/17/2008 3:44:35 PM)

Was that with The Sound?

No he went with The Sound right after he left our group which was called Living Water we just sang local in the st louis area about 100 miles radius of the st louis area.

Jeff_from_Kentucky -> RE: scott fowler... (4/17/2008 3:50:52 PM)

Okay. I didn't know he had been with another one prior to the Sound.

Yes we just was a little local group in st louis with a piano and a bass guitar which scott also played and some some drums and scott sang lead and there was 2 more singers in the group.

Jeff_from_Kentucky -> RE: scott fowler... (4/17/2008 3:57:08 PM)

Are there any recordings out there of you guys?

hinsonfan -> RE: scott fowler... (4/17/2008 3:58:00 PM)

I was talking to Scott at NQC this past year and we had a few laughs about the old days

Jeff_from_Kentucky -> RE: scott fowler... (4/17/2008 4:03:47 PM)

I was pretty pleased last year when he was voted favorite lead in the fan awards. He deserved it. And, he is now in select company as one of only two to ever win favorite lead and favorite baritone.

The only other one to do that is a guy named Glen Payne! [:)]

No we never recorded anything, one of the but times we had was a college in St louis had a radio station and on saturday mornings they would play southern gospel music, and they asked us if we would play on the radio "LIVE" we did some songs and then they would tell the news and then we did some more songs and then they would tell the weather and then they talked to each of us live on the radio. We had some fun that morning. They recorded the program that morning and gave us a tape, if I can find it I will make you a copy and send it to you. But I am in the process of moving to a new house so it is paced away some where but I will find it.

hinsonfan -> RE: scott fowler... (4/17/2008 4:08:12 PM)

I was there right after he came off stage at NQC and when he got his award he was all smiles

I bet he was.

Now, we need to get him the award for favorite tenor since he has sang that part on one of their projects. [:D]

hinsonfan -> RE: scott fowler... (4/17/2008 4:18:21 PM)

I am a huge Original Hinson Fan and one time we were going to open for The Hinsons and the Hinsons had to cancel right at the last minute now that would had a been a real memory for me.
