ORIGINAL: familyharmony1 I had been wanting to see the Booth Brothers for quite some time. Even before they won all the awards at NQC. I had tlaked with Michael online, knew he was a very nice guy, but had never had the chance to see them live or meet them. Well, tonight I got that chance. I saw them in Rome,Ga with Triumphant Qt. And I was blown away. Not only are these guys top notch preformers, but they down to earth guys, really sweet people. I must say up front I really didn't know what to expect from them off stage, never having a chance to meet them, and knowing how BIG they are in music, however, I know now, they are truely some of the most friendly people I have ever meet. You would have thought they had known me for years, and yet never met me before tonight. Their concert was even more thrilling. I walked away knowing why these guys won so many awards, because they truely deserve them. They were simply AWESOME!! During the Concert, they, along with Triumphant got together and sang older songs, with just the piano, and it was purely awesome. The spirit fell upon the place, and you couldn't have asked for more. Both groups together were a treat, and in my personal opinion, they need to do it more often. Triumphant was awesome as well, never saw them before tonight either. But, this is the Booth Brothers Thread, so I won't get into them much. But for anyone who is reading this and never seen The Booth Brothers in person, Do It, you will not regret it, and you won't meet three nicer guys than them. What a Night!!!! They are great aren't they??? I've seen them several times through out the year and every time I think they are better than the concert before! Yes...they are very humble down to earth guys.

They were absolutely marvelous last night in Rome, GA! One of the things I really like about the BB is that they seem to get very "personal" with the audience. Their informality and joking around really draws the audience in and they have a good time with us! They sang a whole lot of new songs last night. I was surprised that they didn't end with "Still Feeling Fine!" Instead, Michael WOWed us with "The Secret Place," including quite a few lines a capella after the track ended. Very effective. I love the Mosie Lister-penned song, "Freedom," from their new CD and they sang it last night. Very nice. And Jim Brady was featured more than I've seen at previous concerts I've attended. I liked that, too. Now that I think about it, it seems that they did a lot more "feature" songs than they did with all three of them singing the whole song. Lynn, I wish you could have been there with us!

ORIGINAL: Smokymtnsanta Wish I had paid more attention to the Dollywood schedule. we could have gone today but not tomorrow. No ones fault but my own. If you were able to you could have given Michael his birthday greetings in person!

Maybe Michael will come out of his lurking mode and tell us what happened at Dollywood that they did not come to their table. I know Dollywood gets a high percentage of the table sales and that could have been why. Just speculating here. But in past some artists did not bother to put up a product table because of Dollywood wanting so much from their sales. But not saying what Dollywood does is wrong because they do bring the good Gospel Music to East tenn. for the month of Oct. Just wish they would give the artists a break on the percentage of their sales. This post was much longer than I meant for it to be.

Well, I don't know if this could have anything to do with it or not, but we saw them in Belleville, IL last Friday eve, 10/10 and Ronnie was quite obviously under the weather. It was never mentioned, but the minute I saw him come on stage I noticed he did not look well. He looked feverish and was coughing throughout the concert. He said little and he did not smile much. Looked like he belonged at home in bed. I felt bad for him. Despite that they sounded good, but they sang more songs with Michael and Jim's solo parts. I say cut them some slack.

Sometimes I forget that our favorite artists get sick, too! I just cannot imagine having to get up and sing when you feel really bad. I hope he gets better real soon.
