I have always found it to be that God is there just when you need him. It may
not seem like it at the time but he is. I am going through a particularly hard time
right now and I know that God forgives us everything but I have friend who has
does something that I am really having a hard time forgiving him for. He had not
called me since I found out but he has left messages with a friend that he wants
me to call him. I don't want to talk to him until I know exactly what to say because
I am afraid I will say the wrong thing. I need some kind of advise. I do know God
forgives us of everything and we are to forgive others the same but I just can't get
past this one. Any advice is welcome

Welcome to forums Mccarten! I just said a prayer for your situation. Life is not easy however Jesus promises to always be there in our time of need if we are faithful to Him.

Thanks for the prayers Humbleinspirit. This is a problem that is being
dealt as far as the other person is concerned but he has no idea how
I feel about it. It is a situation where I worked closely with this person for
14 years and he kept a very dark secret from me. It has just come to
light and I feel betrayed, angry and hurt. We do not have any kind of
a relationship other then good friends but 14 years is a major part of my
life that I now feel like was somewhat of a joke because I thought one
thing about this person and it turns out he is definately not the person I
thought he was.

Hi, Mccarten! Welcome and it's good to have you here!
I'm not exactly sure what your situation is and you don't have to share anymore information about it if you don't want to. I do know that it can be very hard to forgive others at times. If you haven't already, you may want to consider asking Jesus to help you to forgive this person and to show you what you say to this person the next time you see or talk to him. I have said a prayer for you and your situation. I know that the Lord will help you and that He will get you through this if you trust in Him.

Hi McCarten. Welcome to forums. I just prayed also and thought Niki gave you some good advice. I have recently "gotten the victory" over someone I hadn't forgiven. It was tough as it was really hurting me because they didn't know about it. Yes, the Lord will help you and get you through it as you trust Him, just like Niki said.

I appreciate your remarks and that is a very good idea to talk to the
Lord in prayer. I have tried it and at this point, no answer or not
one that is clear to me. I will still keep praying and I am sure it will
all turn out alright. The situation is a bit touchy right at this time so I
won't go into it at length but it is very painful and I feel so betrayed.
I still go on with everything else as normal and I am usually very
happy person. I love to make others happy and if I can stay that
way they will wonder what it wrong with me and then I get my chance
to tell them about the Lord. Even with all the problems he is great and
merciful.

Hi McCarten! Welcome back!

I think it's great that you had already prayed about your situation and that you are continueing to pray about it. I know what you mean when you say that you have prayed but have not received answer. I think we have all been there but please know that God listens and He is always there for us - even when he seems so far away. I'm not trying to preach to you though. I'll continue to pray for you and for your situation. God BLess You~

It's interesting that God sometimes works something else out first that appears unrelated and then it clears the way for whatever we are seeking because He has changed us and our hearts have softened. Have you noticed that?

Umm.... Hi, Joy!! How are you doing? Thanks for stopping by and I kind of know what you mean (I think), but I'm not completely on the down-low with that (mentally). Give me a minute to decipher.

Haha! Yes, that is interesting Joy! And that is how things tend to work out sometimes. It's like when you are single and you're interested in a certain guy but turns out things don't work out for you and this guy. Then a few weeks or so later you may go on some type of Bible Study Retreat which helps you to grow spiritually. Then you continue to grow spiritually because maybe you made a vow not to date (or something) for six months. And then after the 6 months is over, your interest in what kind of guys you like have changed and you realise that this guy who you liked 6 months ago (before the Bible Retreat) isn't the type of guy you want to be with anyway (because he may not be a Christian or something like that). Instead of that "old crush" guy being attractive and appealing, you soon meet another guy (who is a Christian) and hit it off with him and everything seems to *click* between you and this new guy. So in the end, God has changed your heart and cleared the way for something you want/wanted. Or something like that!! I realise that you are married, Joy, so I'm not necessarily talking about you personally. I'm just trying to give an example. And why do I have a feeling that my example doesn't come anywhere close to what your statement meant/means? Hmmm...... I did my best. But, yes, I do know what you mean Joy.

Hi, Niki! That was a good answer. Sometimes it takes a while to see the whole picture, doesn't it? We might expect an answer quickly, but because God is doing a complete work, He does it in His time, not ours. We often don't realize that His work in one area is affecting the areas we want changed--just like in your example.

Uber basically just means 'very, very'. You've used it correctly. It's very commonly used on the internet. I'm pretty sure it can also be used on its own to mean 'very good'.

I'm very good myself, by the way.
