Yes, the little words are often as signifigant as the seemingly big words in scripture. I know there have been times when I have missed important details because I have read scripture with a sort of tunnel vision, looking for the 'big' words/'big' meaning/understanding. This can create an unwanted skewed application of reading too much or too little between the lines(using my own reasoning  ). I'm thankful that God has shown me the error in this and is so gracious in growing me up in His ways. Thank you Lord for your Holy Spirit that guides us into your truths.
This topic reminds me of the popular nativity scene that so many have accepted as an accurate depiction of the three wise men worshipping baby Jesus in the manger. When I look at the verse in Matthew 2:11 and the corresponding verses that surround it, I do not see mention of a baby, a manger (with sheep,cattle,etc.) or the specific number of “three” wise men. It does seem that many small but signifigant words were added/taken away in an attempt to create this specific visual Christmas icon. On a side note: does anyone have any ideas as to why the classic nativity scene seems so inaccurate in its depiction of this event?

After coming into the house they saw the Child with Mary His mother; and they fell to the ground and worshiped Him. Then, opening their treasures, they presented to Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

Loving Jesus will write the commandments on your heart. Its interesting that loving Jesus won't write the commandments on your brain.

Words are so important in Scripture. Tradition teaches that there were three wise men because they brought three kinds of gifts, gold, incense and myrrh. However the Bible doesn`t tell us how many wise men there were.
This event may have happened two years after the manger event, as Matt.2:11 tells us they came to a house and not a manger. "On coming to the HOUSE, they saw the child with His mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh."

It means that our relationship with Jesus and our ability to obey and serve Him relies not on brainpower but on eternal love.
Its not how much we know that makes us obediant to the Lord. Its who He is. Its that He loved us first. Its that we love Him more than our sins, our past, the world, and everything else.
Its about the love man. Without love, you can know every verse in the bible and every commentary about the bible and memorize a million sermons and have no idea who Jesus is.
