Enchanted came out on DVD recently, and I rented it from Redbox. I enjoyed it, especially James Marsden's portrayal of the prince as a good-natured boob who thinks the world revolves around him. The scene where he stabs a bus with his sword and the bus driver gets off and chews him out is a hoot. The whole fairy tale collides with reality (i.e., Manhattan) premise is all very entertaining, and the spoof of King Kong at the end with Patrick Dempsey's character as the "damsel in distress" was pretty funny, especially when he was screaming for help.

If you've seen it, what did you think of it?

I loved it and my 13 year old son really liked it but I made a promise to him that I will never tell any of his friends that he even watched the movie. It's just not cool, you know I love the music. Yes, it's cheesy but sometimes I just want to watch a movie with no intensity, just to watch a movie and be entertained. James Marsden is one of those versatile actors. After watching him being Cyclops, then be in Superman, then sing and dance in Hairspray then sing again here...I'm a fan. Amy Adams- 'did not know she can sing also. I've seen her at The Office so 'was really surprise how brilliant she is.

I was suprised how much I enjoyed ths movie. I watched it with my kids and laughed several times and loved the music. I knew Amy Adams could sing because she got her start here at the Chanhassen Dinner theater, which was perfect because she played the character so much bigger than life.

I also derived a Christian message of sorts out of it - namely that it was about a person who could express love and joy and faith in this world because she had expereinced the reality of such things in another world; her true home. That's a good one to think about.

Love "Happy Little Working Song." - wouldn't that be great if we all just sang a happy little song, put a smile on our face, and "magically" all the forrest animals would help us clean our house.

Though I am not sure i would be that excited about rats, cockroaches, and pidgeons helping the the chores...

Ya know, I don't even remember that allusion; I'll trust it was there, I don't really want to know where.

If I remember correctly, it was when the girlfriend encountered the princess in Patrick Dempsey's room.

Hmnmm...this may come as a shock to some of you, but I thought it was a very good movie.

Even my boys liked it and they generally go for more action movies (as do I come to think of it).

My favourite part didn't even happen in the movie, but in the theatre. When Robert goes to kiss Giselle and hesitates, the theatre was completely silent. Suddenly you hear a voice holler, "Just kiss her already!" *bush* It was Thing 2, my darling 8 year old son. Kids say the darnest things.

It was sooo ridiculous to me, that I just couldn't stand to watch it. My younger sisters loved it and are now begging dad to buy it. I'm sure it had some cute parts, but 20 minutes into it, I had to leave the room. Haha!

I didn't really like it when I saw it in the theater - I'm pretty sure I fell asleep :(
I did however rent it with some friends last weekend and really liked it until the very end when the queen lady comes into the 'real life' New York. Up until there I liked it.

saw it at the theater (have kids) in one word -Disney
However I dont like marsden, enjoyed seeing himget pummeled by the bike riders.
However did anyone catch his entrance to the real world with the superman logo above him.
Nice of Disney to give a Warner Bros. flick a plug

I think they also had Hairspray in the background where Marsden was in the movie version.

My DD has watched this movie 3 or 4 times and I always manage to LOL at that one scene. Too funny..."I've been dreaming...then POW!" LOL! to much!

Great movie. Loved the "How do you know" musical number, but I couldn't get the song out of my head the whole day...oh oh it's back .

We saw it at the theater twice and have seen it at least 20 times at home. I didn't see this. The last 19 times I was only half watching

I'm with yah...I did not recall any. It probably just went over the head since I was smiling throughout the movie

the best things are if you find the hidden jokes. Like the voice actors. My daughter knows who did what in which Disney animation and, for instance, the gal who was the office receptionist who told the princess not to drink from the aquarium, was a voice actor from Little Mermaid...

I like to see Disney poke fun at themselves.

I liked the movie!!! I was able to watch it in the theatre. I loved the songs and the singing parts. There were also some hilarious moments. The effects were also good. The movie made me think and feel like a child again..

Considering how phenomenal Idina Menzel's voice is I was disappointed she did not sing anything.
