Kath - may I have your recipe, please?

The dough is pretty easy, it's just

1/4 cup olive oil
1 1/2 cups warm water
1 tsp salt
bit of sugar
2 tablespoons yeast
4 cups (or so) of flour

throw it all in the breadmaker and use the pizza dough setting.

If you don't have one you'd just mix it all up, knead it for like 10 minutes and let it right till double. it makes two pizzas.

Someone once told me they didn't want to make my recipe because it sounded like it it was too much yeast but I got the recipe from the county extension office and I've used it for 15 years.

For the sauce I just use contadina tomato sauce (it's made with roma tomatoes) tsp of thyme, oregano, a minced garlic and that's about it. I know some people cook their sauce but I've never seen a recipe for one.

I put the pepperoni in the microwave for like 20 seconds wrapped in like 3 layers of paper towels to remove all that grease. I hate pizza swimming in grease.

oh, and one time I found a sargento bistro mozzarella cheese with pesto and boy was it good but I can't find it again

My dear mother in law often tells the story of the "pizza death dance" that was preformed by her and her children many moons ago. The description goes a little like this:
kids and parents hover round the pizza in a menacing stance of preperation, each staring eachother down before the race, once the box is opened/pizza is sliced, the cut throat grab all you can till it's gone begins.
So yes, in their household, eating pizza was a dog eat dog sinful game of gluttony and dominance.
They have since repented of their ways and now eat pizza with grace, self control, and consideration.

I doubt they've repented. I suspect they just started buying more than one pizza. Of course, that adds "financially wasteful" to their list of sins. &:)

It's either that or several of the children didn't survive the "pizza death dance" so there's less competition.

Thanks for the recipe, Kath!

I have a confession to make . . . I have always been intimidated by working with yeast.

Is that a sin?

Have you learned nothing on these threads. You never ask a question like that.

I have far to much zinc and copper in my hair to even attempt an answer.

Onions and garlic and never sinful (is that why I'm still single.... ), but the anchovies are most certainly sinful.

You need to find a guy who likes onions and garlic too.

I think we all knead the dough.

As Martin Luther said, "Sin boldly!"

And then he said, "Pass the Pepto!" (No, wait, my wife said that...)

One of my favorites too. Though I cannot eat much at once, it is doggy bag food, that you eat and pick at.

It is sinful to eat pizza that has unclean meats on it like, but not limited to, pork or sausages that contain pork. It would also be sinful to eat stolen pizza.
